Marciac was hosting a Jazz festival at the time of our holiday and so this would affect some of my answers as it was busy - but I would imagine that the vast majority of the time it would be the same as many other French villages and towns in the region, peaceful. We were there for a wedding rather than the Jazz but we enjoyed the added bonus of music and markets.
