Sant Agata is a lovely small town, plenty of local shops for everyday requirements, and plenty of ristorantes. The locals a friendly, and very helpful, and most speak English, which is far better than my Italian! The pace of life is so much laid back than home, and people have time for each other, something English society sadly lacks.
