Moraira is a charming town blessed with stylish cafés offering an array of home cooked fare, traditional Spanish meals and locally caught fish.Well worth a visit is the small port where fish auctions take place every morning at 10am (except Sundays).
Just 500m from the fish market you will come across Morairas closest beach: Platja de lAmpolla, but for a really chilled out option, about 1.5 km North of the centre is Platja del Portet: an ideal spot for golden sands, bathing with turquoise waters of relaxing with a cold beer from one of the cafés overlooking the beach.
For the more adventurous, travel South of Moraira where the beaches are rocky rather than sandy... ideal for snorkelling.

The outskirts of Moraira are quiet with villas and colourful gardens between the vineyards and hills. The town is busy with a variety of shops and bars, an excellent pharmacy, and plenty of good restaurants. There are several large well stocked supermarkets in the area. Watersports can found between the beach and marina and there is go-karting on the outskirts of Moraira. The sandy beach on the edge of the town has a childrens play area and beach bar. Lifeguards are present and it's safe for swimming.
During June a Christian/Moors festival takes place with many parades with bands and colourful costumes and an elaborate firework display.
The town is very lively in the evenings with its many bars, cafes and restaurantes open till late and you can find artists and stallholders selling pictures, jewellery and crafts.
The local market is held in the town's carpark on Fridays and has plenty of stalls to browse round. It's usually very busy but well worth a visit to do a bit of bartering. There is also a small fair ground at one end of the car park to entertain the children.
