The popular but traditional coastal town of Nerja is situated to the east of the Costa del Sol, around 50km from Malaga. It has only quite recently become a favourite destination of the tourists so it still retains the rustic charm of the sleepy fishing town it once was, but also caters well for the visitors needs. 16km of beach certainly attracts many holiday makers not to mention the outstanding scenery of the Sierra Almijara mountains inland of the town. So if you want a quieter but still visitor friendly destination Nerja is the perfect place.
