Travel Guides: All Countries / Spain / Costa del Sol / Nerja - Torrox Costa
During your visit to Nerja - Torrox Costa you must see... The biggest attraction of the Nerja area is its famous caves. 3km from the town you will find archaeological artefacts dating back 20’000 years, the world’s widest natural column and Palaeolithic cave paintings. So the Nerja caves are both historically and geographically important and make a fascinating day out. Well worth a visit.
Other attractions include the Balcón de Europa which is a spectacular promenade along the cliff side which makes way for some beautiful views out across the Mediterranean.
In the town you will find the 17th century church of El Salvador which has echoes of Moorish and Baroque styling. The Gardens of Capistrano Playa are also nice to explore and lead to the popular Burriana Beach.
