Novleda is real Spain. The people are friendly and welcoming.
Review by Jason Dunn from Liverpool
Novelda is a lovely town - very Spanish which was what we were looking for. We will be coming back to this town and villa - very safe, children are accepted and made welcome which made the holiday a lot more enjoyable and relaxing.
Review by Gerry Handforth from Cheshire
Novelda is a great town - not "touristy" at all but has so much to see and do. we read the destination reviews before we went on holiday, and i noted some comments about building and not much to do. Well, for a town that is truely Spanish, there is planty to see and do both in Novelda and the nearby towns. Great location, great town, lovely people....

with never being to spain before we did not know what to expect the town was very welcoming everyone was helpful in the shops and resturants and very kind to the children which made our stay enjoyable and relaxing which is what a holiday is all about feeling you have had a break.

Novelda is expanding all the time by that I mean appartment blocks. This can over shadow the small historic centre. Its a sleepy town and not much to do or see after the first 3 days. The Santa Maria Magdelne church was pretty to look at for all but i would write home about it. Ideal location to travel about the Alicante region.
Review by Jackie Gunn from Bromley
This town is a hidden gem. We didnt come across any English people at all during our holiday - which was a novelty to us. The Spanish people in the town were really friendly and went out of there way to make sure we were ok, that we knew the best places to visit and went the extra mile for us. The historical sites in the town are breathtaking. The Art Deco house, is magnificent - the decor, furniture and guides provided a lovey trip, and of course with the location eing right in town, we finished this lovely day out with a Menu del Dia meal for 8 euros. The area is not relying on tourists at all - which made us feel that we were really on holiday in a different country. it had markets, lovely coffee shops, supermarkets - everything was to hand.
the location is near to the beach, golf courses and airports so we didnt have to go on any long journeys to enjoy ourselves.
i highly recommend this town.
Novelda - Inland Costa Blanca
This gem of a place is only 20 minutes drive inland from alicante airport - approx 25 minutes drive from the coast.
It is true Spain with the markets, bars restaurants and shops. We were amazed to find that within this town there was a museum, an art deco house (one of only 3 in Europe) as well as a 12th Century tower. the guides were on,y to pleased to help you, in any way they could. The children thought it was fantastic.
The town has an excellent bodega, providing food and wine sampling. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy the local culture but near enough to the beach etc.
well worth a visit.
