Our stay in this Resort which was only a few minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach (with lifeguards). Our apartment had a swimming pool and we were in a locked secure area which made it very safe for those with young children as they could not get out without a key or remote for the gate. There was a supermarket and chemist, amongst other small shops, in easy reach as well as a good breakfast at the golf club. The town of Oliva was very busy with problems finding somewhere to park if you wanted to shop at the large supermarket which had a larger selection than the one on site. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at the complex and would go back again.

This only has a handful of restaurants is not the place to go if you want a huge amount of choice on tap. It is great for a family or couples holiday, no nightclubs etc. A car is recommended as buses can be a bit unreliable.
Would have liked more info left in the apartment - eg Bus Times to neighbouring towns, exact directions to nearest beach, what time most restaurants close, what's open and what's not locally on a Sunday.

Oliva is a small sleepy town with not a lot going on however Denia which is 20 minutes drive away is a lot more livelier with some good shops, bars and restaurants.

The town of Oliva is historical and crowded. The Oliva Golf Resort is just a few miles down the coast and is a lovely place to stay. Not only is it a great base for seeing the sites: Safari park, mountains, nearby towns - you could even take a short break to Ibiza from nearby Denia Town - but the resort is also a safe, family friendly place to stay too. The sandy beach stretches for miles and is far superior to the Costa Blanca beaches and the mountain range frames the area forming a dramatic backdrop.

The Oliva Nova complex is a modern Golf Centre in a beautiful setting. It caters for all ages though I would mostly say adults. Two tennis courts were available and the hotel swimming pool is available to non hotel guests..A spa is also on site.
We have just got back from a weeks holiday and the complex was very quite.. the local shop on site closes fron 2-5 and so do most of the towns around as this is a mostly spanish area and not your normal tourist 'hang out'. There a plenty of restaurants in the nearby towns which are well worth a visit..Denia, Oliva, Ondorra...here there is a huge shoppong mall with a supermarket open all day...with cinemas and bowling alley etc...only a five minute drive from the complex...(Just in case it rains!)

Oliva Nova is a really nice place for couple and families. Most apartments have pools and the beach is truly lovely. A host of restaurants in nearby Denia will suit most tastes, and Oliva has two or three supermarkets for self-catering supplies. There is a safari park and water park near by as well as many other places to visit if you do not fancy golf or sun bathing!. Feels really relaxing and away from the hustle of more nightlife focused resorts. Also very well maintained and manages to keep an air of luxury and exclusivity whilst still being friendly and welcoming.

Very interesting town and the beach was great, we loved Oliva. Would probably go again as the mix of relaxation and things to do was just right.

Oliva is an old working town that is slowly being brought into the 21st century. The paseo is your eyes into the life of the typical spanish community. On friday morning the paseo is converted into a shopping mall with food and clothing stalls popping over night. It is usually crowded with local folks who come out to buy BUT mostly to visit friends and family that they bump into as they work their way along its length. During the day but especially in the early evening the paseo is crowded with children playing while parents meet neighbours and friends and enjoy a glass of wine. Rowdiness is never a problem. The Olibus will take you from the paseo to the beach for 1 Euro. The beach is broad, sandy and very clean. Restaurants near the beach are easily found and very reasonable. Typical spanish seaside fare is well prepared and an excellent variety of plates are available. Of course, great spanish wines are always readily available at unbelievably low cost. A car is not necessary but a bicycle is a great way to explore the area.

A really nice place- the complex has good facilities and is being expanded. There is building work, but that did not detract from the place for me at all.
An ideal place to use as a base to explore the rest of the coastal area, or just to stay and relax. The beach at Oliva Nova is as uncrowded as the website suggests.
