The most beautiful scenery i have ever seen. The only holiday i have come home from and felt totally relaxed. Will definately be going back next year.

ovacik was not as i expected, it is basically a large village ( lots of holiday villas ) clusterd round a main road which has restaurants and shops on it ( mainly for the tourists) . Having said this we did find the amenities useful. hisaronu just 10 mins up the road is a town which offers lots of shops and a few clubs, quite busy and catering for the tourist. the area itself is stunningly beautiful with lots of unspoilt beaches and coast line, also many reasonably priced coach trips are offered to places of historic interest. there is plenty to do in this area and the people are unbelievably friendly.

Review by member Wong from Singapore
So very different to Singapore and this villa made all the difference to our stay. Turkey was a brilliant change for our good. The Dalaman airport cost even by Singapore standards was very expensive and that came as a suprise. However, the holiday was just great.
Review by David Handley from Birmingham
A wonderful location set in the mountains and forest. So very peaceful and unrushed. Just what is needed to escape from the UK pressures.
The villa we stayed in was more than 1st class and the owners have paid great attention to detail and even have a full time gardner on hand to show us the rope and also 24/7 security at this private setting.
It is great to find a villa NOT in the brochures. We have found ourselves an absolute haven.

If you are looking for up-market or lively then Ovacik is not the place, however if you are looking for easy-going, with some of the friendliest people you could hope to meet then Ovacik is the place. There are bars and restaurants in Ovacik and an excellent bus (dolmus) service so you can easily get to the bigger towns for markets, shopping, night-life and history, so you can do as much or as little as you like. There is a lot of new develpment going on around Ovacik, but to date this doesnt appear to have robbed it of its "village" feel.

The area of Ovacik/Fethiye has outstanding beauty and natural Turkish charm. You get the feeling that the area has embraced the tourist trade easily without going over the top into "over commercialisation". The area offers great diversity in as much as you can get peacefull tranquility at Olu Deniz and a vibrant young nightlife at the town of Hisoranu.Going around the area during the day or at night with young or old colleagues you feel at ease with the Turkish people which is an added bonus on holiday.Olu Deniz beach with its "blue lagoon"is a protected conservation area and you get the feeling that the local people are proud to be associated with that region. This area is a little piece of paradise hidden away, easy to fall in love with in the foothills of a montainous environment, still clinging to the natural Turkish way of life.

Ovacik is too lively and there are enough bars and shops for what you need. The nearby resort of Olu-deniz is not too far away.(5mins on bus).
Review by wendy hunter from doncaster
The area is very nice not too noisey but if you want nightlife then it is only a short taxi ride into Hisoranu . The shops are good and the restaurants are nice, The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the people are very friendly.

Ovacik was a beautiful place to spend our holiday.the area was unspoilt and still very turkish but having fethiye, hisonaru and olu deniz on its doorstep gave people the choice of where they wanted to spend the time. The mountain range was breathtaking and the people were just fantastic.

Restaurants
A Huge Range to sort all tastes and very reasonably priced. We were paying approximatey £28 for 2 main courses with wine this also included bread or pide usually served with garlic butter.
Drinking
Lots of bars with entertainment and dancing but deffinitely NOT Benidorm. The average price for a large beer £2. A bottle of wine in a resteraunt (recommend Angora Dry White) around £10. Cocktails look for happy hours as they are a £4 each
