Pego is a charming town you really get a feel of Spanish life as it is unspoilt and not commercialised at all.Close to Benidorm if you fancy a bit of hustle but boasts it's own Safair park and attractions such as 'Fonts De Algar' (Waterfalls) are close by. This location is relaxing for adults but has enough to keep the kids happy!

Pego - a perfect town showing the unspoilt rural spain. A very quiet laidback town full of history, charm and beauty. A town our family will be returning to !

Monte Pego is to be differentiated from Pego town as it is an estate of 1200 villas built on a mountain. The access road is very steep with lots of hairpin bends. It is unlit at night so can be treacherous. All the villas and roads in Monte Pego are very similar and even after 2 weeks I was unsure of the way to and from the villa. It takes approx. 5mins in the car to use the mountain road on any journey mostly in 2nd or 3rd gear. It is however tranquil with spectacular views.

Pego is not commercialised in any way. It is an ideal base away from the crowded tourist destination but close enough to drive to them for an evening visit.
