I recommend Puerto Cabopino mostly for its quiet small beaches where you still can get away from the holiday crowd. However, if you want to visit the port or a local market in the area, it's almost impossible during the high season! Cars everywhere and although you can reach the aimed location by car you must be very lucky to find a parking spot. The many beach restaurants on the small beaches in the area of Cabopino have nice settings but are very expensive and not good value for money. I found drinks and eating out very expensive but this is something one could probably expect visiting an area with a name of being luxurious. For an evening out I would definately recommend Plaza Mayor nearby Malaga Airport. A beautiful openair shoppingoutlet with many restaurants where prices are still reasonable.

THE AREA AROUND HERE IS SOMEWHAT UNSPOILT BUT THERE ARE LOTS OF QUIET BARS AND RESTAURANTS WHICH RANGE FROM DOWN TO EARTH TO CLASSY ALL WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE. THERE ISN'T A LOT FOR CHILDREN TO DO BUT THE BEACHES AROUND HERE ARE WONDERFUL.
