Santa Estevao and Tavira were both beautiful. The local people were friendly and helpful. The beautiful buildings and the old castle walls were breathtaking.

Santo Estevao itself is not the issue, but you're close enough to Tavira and several other coastal towns, to great beaches and places to walk, and to Spain, while being quietly off by yourselves in the orchards - it was exactly the right combination for us.
