We have been to Orlando in the past and this was our first time in Sarasota. We were a bit concerned it may be too quiet for us, but it was perfect! We no longer want to go to Orlando. Here you get beautiful beaches, activities if you want them and great shopping. We have two boys aged 12 and 9 and they loved it too.

Sarasota is a great place for relaxing, with a lot to do if you want. The beaches are clean and beautiful, and you are in driving distance to some stunning scenery. There is also close by shopping, with the Prime Outlet shops in ellenton a short drive up the interstate - a must for bargain hunters. After a week doing the parks, it was wonderful to go and relax in a lovely place like Sarasota.

Sarasota is a great place both for golf and beaches. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. St. Armands Circle is lovely for a walk around some boutique shops and excellent restaurants. Lido Key beach and Clearwater are beautiful. Anna Marie Island is stunning with old wooden Clap-board style shops and restaurants with amazing houses on the waterfront. The local people are friendly and welcoming, we want to go live there!

I would recommend paying a visit to the Burlington Coat Factory. It doesn't just sell coats but also lots of designer clothing and homeware at great prices.
