Getting around There is a good network of comfortable coach routes in Spain that are cheaper than trains, but pre-book on weekends. The minimum age to qualify for car hire is 21. The Al-Andalus Express is a five-day tour through Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga and Jerez de la Frontera on a luxurious train.

Customs Drinks after dark are as popular as tapas before lunch, and the Spanish get going late. In summer many city dwellers make trips to the taverns in the villages just outside the city, known as ventanas sevillanas.
