Review by Louise Povey from Christchurch

Tala is a small but pretty village with three or four really good tavernas, offering traditional and tasty Greek food. There are good views of the sea from most of the surrounding apartments.

we didnt actually stop at any of the eateries in tala we only used the supermarket once, but the locals seemed friendly enough and all speak good english, as we past the restuarants in the car they seemed to be quite busy. as we needed a car we ventured into coral bay and paphos quite easily, meals were quite exspensive expect to pay approx 70-80 euros for evening meals and 30-40 for dinnertime snack, but weather was wonderful and we had a lovely time thankyou.

Tala has a lovely village square with a small supermarket and a very good selection of restaurants and bars. It has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere so it's possible to have a lovely evening there. In the rest of Tala, there are many shops and kiosks to meet your day to to day needs.

We have visited Tala  twice and love the lovely cypriot feel and the fantastic views over Paphos and coral Bay. It really is the Beverley Hills of Cyprus with some lovely villas. It was great to spend a day on the beach only 5 mins away and then escape for a cool dip in the pool at Villa Hunter.

The square is great for a drink and the children were well looked after and very safe. The local Tavernas offer great food locally sourced and much better value than the tourist coastal area.

We loved being higher up as the views over Coral Bay and Paphos are outstanding while it is also above the humidity level which is a must in summer.

Villa Hunter and Tala has every thing for a relaxing and very exculsive holiday. We will be back.

Review by Chris Jenkins from Rixensart, Belgium

Tala is a beautifully situated village in the hills overlooking the sea. Like much of the area around Pafos, it is being over-developped with holiday flats springing up everywhere - many of which are probably destined to remain empty. However the authentic Cyprus is not very far away and Tala is well situated near to a beautifully unspoiled coast in a natural reserve as well as the more obvious attractions of restaurants and beaches. English speaking tourists will find it easy to feel at home here as well as benefit from the climate and amenities. I, for one, will be going back.

Village just outside of Paphos. Spent a week there and found the Square to have everything you need if you do not want to go further a field (we eat there 5 out of the 7 nights!). Very convenient to get to most other locations, ie Troodos, Nicosia, Lara Bay, etc. Would definately go back there.

Tala is a beautifull cypriot village set in the hills above paphos. It has a unique charm of local life , and holiday guest using the many beatifull villas that sit on the hill side overlooking Paphos & Coral Bay.It is a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic views. Also just stop amd listen i have never stayed some where so quit andpeacefull.

The local tavernas offer excellant food, ingrediants sourced locally and offer excellent value. Tala can be upto 1/2 the price for a night out compared to Tavernas in the coastel tourust areas. Many tavernas also offer evening entertainment with tradtional dance and music.

I think we have found our own peice of paradise in cyprus.
