Most of the residents on Urbanisation La Marina phase 4 are pleasant enough, but some residents need to get a life and stop moaning.

WE FOUND THE AREA VERY NICE AND QUIET THER ARE SOME HILLS NOTHING TO BAD WITH A RANGE OF SHOPS AND BARS TO SUIT ALL AGES.

We thought Urbanisation La Marina was very friendly and pleasant. There is alot of building works still going on within the area, which when complete will be a very lovely place to stay. There are just enough restaurants and bars around the area which we visited. The supermarkets are well stocked up and you can purchase everything you need for your holiday. We did get lost a couple of times around the area as it does all look the same but soon got back on track to the main road. The instructions given by the owners of the villas were very good and took us straight to our villa. Recycling is very good there, lots of bins colour coded for all your waste, glass, plastic, paper and rubbish. Overall a good area to holiday in just wish we didnt have to use the car everyday to go to the supermarket, maybe a small bus route to and from the supermarket, shops and restaurants are needed.

La Marina was a totally enjoyable relaxing holiday for our family, well kept, clean with friendly people.
I would not recommend it for people who want a lively time with lots of nightlife, this was far from that, but still had plenty of lovely places to eat & drink, a few gift shops, and a few supermarkets, what we did like was the new iceland supermarket where we could get all your English food shopping !!
A totally enjoyable, relaxing holiday spot.

Urbanisation La Marina feels like a fairly new developed and upcoming place, conveniently located about twenty minutes outside of Alicante Airport.
Dependent on where you are located, you may find yourself well located for a choice of restaurants but not so well placed if you want something more touristy. However, there are good connections between the La Marina and the next more tourist type areas and if you hire a car, you can easily find what you want within an half hour drive.
La Marina is probably more family orientated due to the area being more property owned villas than hotels and bars and is, therefore, perfectly suited to a family style holiday. The area felt safe and clean even when walking back late at night with little ones.
Overall, I would recommend La Marina to anyone looking for a nice quiet, relaxing holiday with little stress and nothing more taxing than laying by a pool!

Urbanisation La Marina is a friendly peaceful village. Predominataly occupied by ex pats from various countries but mainly British, Germans and Dutch. Restaurents cater for all tastes including Chinese, Mexico, French, Argentinean and of course Spanish. Supermarkets include Lidl and even Iceland. There is a local market on twice a week with a vast amount of stalls selling everything you can think of especially shoes! La Marina Urbanisation is located about 10 minute drive away from a blue flag beach that has a life guard in attendance. Nearby is the seaside town of Guardemea that is a traditional Spanish town. I would recommend the area especially the larger villas to rent on the edge of the urbanisation.

La Marina is a quiet, modern, small town development made up of mainly villas ( a lot owned by ex pats) It has it's own local police station, communal sports areas, good variety of restaurants (menus in English) and supermarkets,opticians/dentists, car hire etc. Not very Spanish ( or overtly touristy) as there is a large ex pat community. A quiet, relaxing base from which you can easily explore the local villages and towns.

Urb. La Marina is aplace for families with young children or those of more mature years, not 18-30. It is an urb. of 2 halves the older scruffy part and the more modern area. There are some very good bars and restaurants in both the urb. and village also a fair number to give a wide birth to!

We enjoyed staying at La Marina so much, because we were looking for a quiet place, but with some restaurants and supermarked. We simply just loved the people! They were so relaxed, nice, serviceminded and always helpful. Even the taxidrivers! ;-) The beach was amazing but unfortunately it was a bit to cold in November to go swimming. We will be back for sure!! To enjoy the hot nice weather, people and maybe for a wedding... :-)

La marina is a lovely bit of spain which is very near to the airports and has great access to Mercia then down to La Manga or up to Alicante and Benidorm all within 40 mins driving time on excellent motorways which were never busy with traffic. You can literally jump on at La Marina and then get off at the big towns and it is all clearly signposted. La Marina is a lovely place with loads of places to eat out and shop for grocerys all at excellent prices you can get away totally with speaking no spanish as it seems to have a very large amount of british people living there and a number of the restaurants and shops are run by brits. There is also a lovely beach to go down to and i am told the locals bar-b-q there on xmas day and celebrate with champagne. I would definately say that having a car would be preferable so you can get out and enjoy the area and they can be hired very cheaply locally a great place to spend your holidays!

Loved La Marina, everything you need for a relaxing holiday, loads of place to eat and a lovely beach
Review by Michelle Smith from Eastleigh
La Marina is a very urbanised (as the name suggests) resort mainly occupied by the British, with some Danes and Germans but mostly retired British.
There is nowhere to eat that is traditional spanish but if you like things like chicken nuggets, burgers and roast dinners, this will suit you very well indeed.
The whole place however was incredibly clean and tidy.

La Marina urbanisation suited us because we love a quiet holiday, we didnt travel around much, we were so happy in the villa, the value for money was excellent and it had a fab market, Id say alot of people retire there from the UK so it would not be suitable for a lively night clubbing holiday. However we did not look for anything like that so maybe it was around. We loved that it was unspoilt and we had 4 teenagers with us who thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate alot in Victoria 11 chinese rest. that was exceptional value and had the loviest staff. I would recommend it to anyone

Urbanisation La Marina is not a resort which is why we like it so much. There are enough bars and restaurants to ensure plenty of choice but the beaches are uncrowded, clean and tranquil.
Review by Nigel Baber from Fareham
La Marina is a really well positioned Urbanisation that has a fantastic, unspoilt beach area 5 mins drive away. The urbanisation itself has a really nice selection of bars and restaurants and is within 30 mins drive of Alicante Marina where you have international standard bars and restaurants. La Marina is also in an ideal location if you want to get away from the beach and do some sightseeing. The roads are excellent and driving is really easy. I would recommend La Marina to anyone who wants to be slightly away from the main cities of Alicante and Benidorm but still likes to have plenty of things to see and do.
