Was disappointed on arrival at the lack of stock in supermarket but this did improve slightly by end of the week. Possibly early in the season? Seafood, Italian, Chinese, beach bar and traditional restaurants. Something for everyones taste with the resort clean and very welcoming.

Vale Do Lobo is upscale complex with restaurant prices to match. Valentines Day dinner at the Clubhouse was fabulous. Appolonia store is best for shopping, beautiful store, friendly service.Good restaurants at the Buganville Plaza. Great markets on Wednesdaty in Quartiera, and on Sunday in Almancil.Watch the other drivers! The speed limits are too high for terrible quality of roads. The best part of the trip was returning to what has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The whole of Vale do Lobo is holiday complexes, nothing high rise and tastefully done, however, there is nothing typically Portuguese around. There is a lot of building going on, all along the same low rise and quality lines. The beach is beautiful and Vale do Lobo is in a very convenient location. Everything is clean and very well maintained, and there is an continuos presence of the security guards keeping an eye on everything.
Everyone speaks English, and all the menu's are in English, which makes us really lazy as we don't have to make the effort to learn any Portuguese.
Vilamoura marina is a nice place to go for lunch. If you play golf, don't pay the prices at the golf club. Pre-book through an agent before you come out, or through Tee Times Golf Agency, Marina Plaza in Vilamoura as they can book golf for you much cheaper, and very often have offers you can't beat.

Lovely well equipped villa in a superb setting.

Vale do Lobo is an exceptionally immaculate holiday destination - manicured - very English - rather busy in August.
It IS expensive -but that is to be expected with the type of client who visit.
Better, more authentic and value for money restaurants are available only a stone's throw from the tourist areas.

Vale do Lobo is a great resort to take children especially teenagers who want to go out at night. The presence of security guards reassure parents that they will have a great, safe night.
Review by David Blake from Bexley
Vale do Lobo is a well designed complex providing many activities and restuarants to suit all ages and tastes. It is well looked after, clean, tidy and safe. This is our third year and we are going back in 2009 - that alone recommends it as my wife is difficult to please - keeping her and my two tear old grand-daughter happy makes a happy holiday for the rest of us. It is also friendly, much more than Quinta do Lago!
