Travel Guides: All Countries / Spain / Valencia
During your visit to Valencia you must see... Valencia is home to some very important monuments. One of those is the 13th century cathedral in the centre of the old town, and even older is the Roman forum, where the Square of the Virgin now stands. Exploring the town is worth it as it is full of many smaller but equally distinguished monuments amongst the beautiful architecture.
Castellon is another fine city for a visit with a grand town Hall, a traditional cathedral and Hermitage. The Avenida de Lledó takes you to the 18th century basilica where the image of the town patron saint can be found, whereas the Hermitage of San Jaime de Fadrell is the location of the Municipal Ethnological Museum.
Alicante is one of the largest Spanish towns and is one of the more touristy cities of the region. It has its fair share of historical monuments along with some great leisure and brilliant shops and restaurants perfect for all holiday makers
