The resport of Varres is hard to describe as I am still not sure where it started and where it finished, we stayed in Villa Franco which was in Varres or Marmaria according to the taxi drivers, as far as we were concerned we went to Tsilivi as that was where all the bars and restaurants are, it was about a 20 minute walk into Town and about 25 minutes to the beach.
The walk into Tsilivi wasnt too bad although it was very hot some nights (even up to 9'O'Clock) so we were always ready for a drink in Sandra's Bar which is just at the bottom of the hill. Sandra's was also handy for taxi's to get back up the hill as there is a rank just across the road in front of the bus shelter, they were very friendly and kind and would ring a taxi for us if there was none waiting.
The resort of Tsilivi is fantastic and I would highly recommend it, fantastic for families and couples alike, hundreds of bars and restaurants you will be spoilt for choice, highly recommend Apollon, we didn't discover it until late in our stay which was a big mistake as the food is fantastic and really reasonable, one of the nicest and cheapest meals we had!
