Villamartin Plaza was a busy and trendy plaza with lots of bars and restaurants, a local supermarket, bank and chemist.

Villamartin Plaza is an expats paradise!! Most of the people we came across were British, so if you're looking for the real Spain you'll have to hire a car and look elswhere.
I understand the golfing facilities are very good, however I have no interest in this so cannot vouch for it.
There are alot of restuarants in the Plaza, Indian, Chinese, Italian, traditional English/Irish even Kebabs, but we couldn't find any traditional Spanish food. They are family friendly though, all of them offering a kids menu.
The local taxi service was excellent but a bit pricey.
There is a beach but it's not within walking distance.

We have visited Villamartin Plaza some six times in the pass, and I must say that this time it has improved, it is nice that now you can eat and drink , without having people coming up to you every five minutes and trying to sell you sunglasses etc, they have tightened up securtiy which is a very good thing. We felt very safe, and even let us two children ages 12 and 15 walk around on their own for a while, which is something we would not have done on our last visit. The restauraunts we found were very good, we had some lovely meals and not too pricey, and it does not seem so noisey these day.

Try Eduardos restaurant in the Plaza. Excellent!!! Expensive, but for a special occassion well worth it. Probably the best meal we have ever had when eating out.

I would only say that I enjoyed the atmosphere at the Plaza where there are plenty of places to eat and drink. I had some nice reasonably priced food as a vegetarian and it was a good chill out few days.

the plaza has everything you want...pubs...clubs...resterauntes and a supermarket chemist bank the list is endlist and all are very welcoming and friendley...i found it great for the kids as there was plenty of space for them to run about while yu could sit and relax knowing that they were happy

The supermarket in the plaza was fab, all the employees went out of their way to help if you needed it and they all always had a smile on their faces...you don't often see this in the uk.

Villamartin Plaza is a lovely place to sit and eat and enjoy a drink, however, I would not recommend staying on the Plaza itself as the fumes from the kitchens are overwhelming. The apartment I visited smelt of food fumes and was dirty so we left immediately to find an area where we could breathe fresh air.

Villa Martin is a purpose built location for the golfers. Perfect for a golfing holiday. If you are after culture or a lively holiday destination this is not the place I would recommend. However it has some good restaurants and all other amenities that you need. I would recommend you hire a car for your visit.

A great choice of food and prices. Watch the parrots fly around as you eat. All cuisines including Argentinian, Mexican, Chinese, English, Indian and Spanish.
