The Sierra de Aracena is a wonderful place - beautiful villages and towns nestled in great scenery. Very rural, which is why we went, but with all you could need. History, culture, warm and welcoming people, great local food and wine, exceptionally children friendly and family orientated - there really is nothing not to like about this enchanting area of Spain. Beautiful Seville is easily reached (one hour) and stunning beaches are only 1.5 hours away.

Aracena is a great little town. Within walking distance (90mins) of 12 Evaristo Perez in Corteconception. Both routes have loads of local history and wildlife. Only went during the day and had good food in the town centre restaurants. Believe it has nightclubs. Castle and churches are interesting. The Gruttas Marvillas (caves) beneath the town are huge. "Peak District on steroids". The museum of ham is very well done. Two good supermarkets one each end of the town on the main road through.
