Beautiful place, my son now wants to live in Fuengirola! There is plenty to do - shopping, bars, restuarants and a beautiful beach which was very clean and well kept with small parks to entertain the children. The bus and train is in easy reach and also quite cheap to use. We will definately return but will stay closer to the local facilities. I would give Fuengirola a four star rating.

We know and love Carvajal well, this is perfect for families who may want to avoid the huge crowds of the town centres. The holiday population here is mainly made up of Spaniards which is one of the major attractions for us. The beaches are wide and clean and never too densley populated even in August. The chiringuitos offer wonderful fish and seafood, steaks and of course egg and chips for the children or those of us in need of a bit of nursery fare. Benalmadena port is just 10 minutes down the road and the centre of Fuengirola is easily accessible by car and train.
