Review by Rosie from Grantown on Spey Edinburgh in festival time is fun, and at other times always interesting and attractive. Leith is a wonderful mixture of old and new, smart and rough. Portobello has a lovely promenade and a beautiful old victorian (refurbished) swimming pool . Everywhere wonderful architecture
Review by Cathy from Kelowna While in Scotland we stayed in Edinburgh and did a day trip by train to Glasgow. We loved Edinburgh, the imposing view of the castle as we exited Waverly Station was amazing. You have great tasting drinking water (just like here in Canada). Our favourite Cathedral visit was St. Mungos in Glasgow but our favourite city was Edinburgh. We definitely plan to return to Scotland to see the north, get out of the cities and see the countryside.
Review by Gemma from Southampton Edinburgh is a fantastic city because there is so much to do, there are many great pleace to eat, drink and shop, yet it is laid back. People are friendly and don't seem to rush, there didn't seem to be crowds but all the places we visited were buzzing and lively. It is difficult to explain until you have been there and it is well worth a visit.
