Review by member from Brisbane We visited Firenze 3 times. One whilst staying in Bologna and the other 2 occasions while staying in Figline. Very easy to travel their by train should you be staying out of the city. Three days is not enough to fully appreciate all that Firenze has to offer. Attraction lines can be very long and there is too much to see and do to be standing in a queue wasting time so well worth paying the extra few euro and booking tickets from a booking office which are scattered all over town. If you love leather, this is the city for you. The markets are good but we found the leather shops are just as good value but better quality. Many are family owned and always prepared to do a deal. Absolutely loved Firenze and will definitely be visiting again.
Review by member from Charleston, South Carolina USA My fiancee & I just spent 3 weeks in Florence, Italy. We stayed in the south Hills of Florence in a little town called Grassina. We have been traveling Europe for 2 months now (Spain, France, England & now Italy) and our rental here was by far the best!!! Newly renovated (March 2008), 2 bedroom, family room, kitchen, full bathroom, spacious (sleeps up to 4), clean, beautiful furnishings & THE VIEWS of the Chianti wine country from the 2 terraces - cant get that staying in the city! We walked 5 minutes to the bus stop in town & the local bus took us into downtown Florence in 20 miuntes! So you can get the best of both worlds - the city & the wine country! The owner lived downstairs & they were the nicest family to rent from. I recommend this rental to anyone coming to Florence!
Review by Kim from Exmouth From were we stayed it was best to drive to Figline Station and take the train to Florence as it runs every hour and takes you right to the centre of Florence with no hassle of parking and only cost 20.00 euros for the four of us. The Paolo day at Siena on the wednesday was excellent as we saw the parade and horses and riders being chosen.
Review by Tracey from Birmingham During our stay outside Florence at Le Botti, we spent a wonderful late afternoon and evening at a cookery course. A trip that is highly reccommended for all ages.
Review by Sandra from Rockhampton In a word - perfect! IMolin Del Resco was an ideal hideaway to relax and enjoy the beautiful Tuscan countryside. We loved walking the short distances into the small villages and sampling all the wonderful local produce - bread, wine, cheeses and tasty salami. Florence, home of the amazing duomo, museums, and all that is Michel Angelo, is only a short train journey away. Allow enough time to not only enjoy the peace and serenity of the valley where Molin is situated, but to also take a day trip to the battlement Etruscan town of Cortona sitting high on a mountain top where we sampled the delicious local liqueur, limoncello. Tuscany is a beautiful part of the world and we will return! Bella Toscana!
