10 mins. from airport, but the wind and waves breaking mask most of the plane noise.

Lots of restaurants, some in the main square offer good food, the best we found was Gullivers (not cheap but good food, and very good with children)

Los Abrigos is a fishing village 5 euros by taxi away, lots of excellent fish restaurants.

2 golf courses to choose from.

The area has some building work in progress but it is not offensive.

There is a lot of litter around, probably because of the wind in this area.

we found golf du sur very quiet this year the credit crunch and the weak pound both playing a major part in the pubs and restaurantsd according to the locals and ex pats. as we are a very busy couple it suited us but it would not suit anyone who is looking for a good nightlife.

Golf del Sur as the name suggests is about golf but if it's a quiet relaxing holiday you're after I can highly recommend the area. There are great walks along the coast or hire a car and go further afield. Sunset View Club is great place to base yourself. Also there is entertainment every night in the main square. We liked it.

Having never wanted to go to Tenerefe before but was swayed by the weather in april, I was totally converted and found Golf del sur had all that my husband and I wanted. A few bars and resturants, nice coastal walks, a harbour, and a few shops but no overcrowding and a good base to use if you have a car as we did or if you did,nt. Will be returning again later in the year.

Much of Golf del Sur sits directly under the flight path to the busy Tenerife Airport approx half a mile from end of runway! At certain times of the day aircraft are arriving/departing every 2 minutes.
