Review by Lorraine from Bristol Jolly Harbour is a gated resort on the south west of the island; you can easily walk from villas on the South Finger to Jolly Beach and either walk to the supermarket and commercial centre (which I did) or hire a golf cart to get around the complex (about 20 USD a day). There is a swiming pool and golf course (which I didn't visit) as well as several restaurants, including Castaways, a beach bar and restaurant situated on Jolly Beach. Jolly Harbour also has a gift shop, pharmacy, off licence and car hire as well as the supermarket, so everything you need as a basis for your holiday is here. The beach has several 'souvenir' stalls where you can buy sarongs, shells and locally made jewellery, in addition to the beach vendors who come round with their wares. Trips to St Johns, the capital. where you can find duty free shops as well as many more souvenirs can be made either by taxi or local bus.
Review by member from Ealing, London Jolly Harbour was a fantastic place to stay. It centers around a scenic harbour that houses lots of beautiful boats and is also lucky enough to boast Jolly Beach as it's own. The beach is amazing and its view of Monserrat and the sunsets are breathtaking, especially with a Rum Punch in hand! The harbour itself has 3 restaurants which were all fabulous although Melini's was our favorite with its pretty fairy lights twinkling after the sun had gone down. And there are a number of shops...including a cafe, an internet cafe, 2 banks, a home ware store with lots of unique & affordable pieces (we bought a few things here) and a few others. Next door is the Jolly Beach Resort which offers day passes to anyone who wants them. We tried it and thought it was a waste of money. Yes, food & drink is included but personally with its own swimming pool and the same beach, we felt that Jolly Harbour made a much better holiday destina tion. ... more
Review by Joe from Egham Not suitable for the 18-30 crowd - thank God! Plenty of variety of pub/restaurants and a very well stocked supermarket if you want to self-cater. Very friendly staff and security posts manned 24 hours. Beautiful beach with a handy little beach bar/cafe. Some extra building and development taking place - it is lovely as it is, I hope that they do not spoil it. Local bus offers frequent travel to St Johns for about £1 each way and the journey is well worth the experience.

Review by Robert from Salisbury Jolly harbour is a pleasant, safe and rather quiet area that provides the essentials for a relaxing beach holiday. It has a number of restaurants and bars around the marina, a pool and a nice beach. There are also some shops, a bank a supermarket and casino.
