Busy but it was the new year period. Skiing good but lots of other things to do eg ice-skating, swimming (don't be fooled though, the pool is colder than it looks), Olympic toboggan run, visiting the ice cave & sculptures & a forest walk up the mountain. Outdoor disco & fireworks heralded the new year.

La Plagne is a fantastic ski destination for adults and children alike. However, if you are a very experienced skier you might find the runs a tad on the easy side - there are a lot of blue runs, and only a few red and blacks...

Accessed from Chambery with no trouble. The resort is easily accessible by car can imagine snow chains are needed in heavy snow. Wherever you stay you are within v easy access of the slopes and an extensive network of lifts. In the resorts restaurants shops cafe galore. Down in the valley easy access to Aime and other towns with wider range of shops and resources.

La Plagne is defintely one of, if not THE, best ski resort in Europe. It's so big you can never get bored and it is so well managed that every holiday is fabulous.
