Marina Alta - Denia is more than we expected many many restraurants not cheap but such excellant food and a great range of fish and meat dishes, the beaches are excellant and very clean the views from the surrounding countryside is breathtaking, it was wonderfull to go to a Spanish holiday resort and not see loads of English Pubs selling English food, we travelled to many other bays along the coast and they were just as Spanish

we loved the area around calpe, there was a firework display while we were away that was terrific not sure what the date was but we stayed 20-27 october. In the middle of calpe city there was a parade also and a display in the arena, beaches had been storm damaged but were being cleaned up , the marina is a good place for a walk and to see the fishes in the marina, they are huge.lots of shops in benidorm and in calpe and lots of markets, the one at altea is massive when we went it was at the station,i think it may be on the beach in summer.The streets are clean also.Well worth having a holiday here
