Porto Petro a jewel in Majorca - still very traditional and a relaxing place to stay away from the crowds - it was so nice to go back and find it not spoilt since our last visit 5 yrs ago - long may it stay that way.

Porto Petro is VERY quiet. No nightlife at all. Just a few restaurants and one bar. Travel to Cala D'Or, 5 mins drive, much better. There is one restaurant in Porto Petro to AVOID. Called Varadero, it has the rudest owner I have ever met in 30 years of eating out.

The area all around Porto Petro was beautiful with some amazing beaches. We were quite shocked at how expensive Majorca has become with family meal out giving no change from £65 on average. The exchange rate doesn't help either. That said we found all the resteraunt to serve good quality fare.
