Review by Robert from Long Creek, Prince Edward Island, Canada The owner, Adrian, has an exellent villa and treated us like special guests. He arranged for a taxi to pick us up, offered us tips and advice on what to do while in Barbados. His villa is exellent value for anyone, but especially for a family looking for great holiday value. We loved Barbados, and have already started reccomending the island as place to stay, as 6 Ajoupa Villa as a great place to see it from.
Review by ROBERT from SPALDING St James is a busy little area in Barbados. We particularly enjoyed the safe beaches, and the fact that we could do all the shopping we needed in Holetown. There were also plenty of places to eat, with lots of variety. The people are amongst the friendliest I have ever encountered (
Review by Denise from WREXHAM St James has great beaches. Upmarket areas and hotels. But you can also stay there on a budget, as we did. Lots of apartments/villas to rent. We felt part of the community popping to Jordans supermarket! Restaurants again for all tastes and budgets. Local fishfruit and veg wonderful! Friday night fish frys along the coastal towns a must.Holetown is a bustling area, in the middle and it is a good base to stay. Speightstown quieter, we felt it was a bit out if you wanted to tour around the island.
Review by Mary from Brockenhurst Fitts Village is on the beautiful west coast of Barbados about 2 miles from Bridgetown and on a regular bus service. The beach is quiet and safe with good parking, and there are more equally good beaches nearby. Jordans supermarket is as good as small UK supermarkets, about the same prices, and is a short walk (uphill part of the way) from the villa. There are a number of excellent restaurants - some casual some formal within a short distance. There is a huge amount of major developement going on further up the coast but Fitts Village is still undeveloped and quiet, and Ajoup is pretty much the only new development among the local houses. The people who live round the villa are universally friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to older visitors, couples or families. It would probably not suit 18-30s as it is too quiet.
Review by Mary from Brockenhurst, Hampshire, England St James has great uncrowded beaches and fantastic shops (in Holetown), many are duty free. A dozen world class restaurants and also good familiy eateries and take-aways. Children are very weoclomed in Barbados.
