Padova - the nearest town to our villa, was lovely but impossibly difficult to navigate around in a car - expect to find yourself going round one way systems repeatedly! However, it has great ice-cream shops (gelataria) and lovely historic buildings, plus a selection of churches, parks and shops.

Go further north into the mountains and foothills and you will find really beautiful countryside and quite a lot to do as well.
