Squirrel & Vine is a private, fully-equipped self-catering apartment with an excellent location in Stellenbosch’s historic core. Guests can walk to shops, coffee shops, restaurants and numerous historic sites. The apartment is situated in oak-lined Herte Street, and is one of the apartments in a block of 12 privately owned units in this one-way street. Squirrel & Vine is 250 meters’ walk from the Stellenbosch Tourism and Information Bureau, and 150 meters from ‘Oom Samie se Winkel’ (around the corner in Dorp Street).  

A maximum of three guests can be accommodated. The living room has a sleeper couch (single bed size), satellite television and DVD. The bedroom features an extra-length queen size bed, radio/alarm, hairdryer and digital electronic safe. The newly renovated granite kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, kettle, toaster, coffee perculator, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. A private covered balcony overlooking Herte Street has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. The newly renovated bathroom has a shower, bath and twin basins. Secure off-street covered parking is available inside the security complex.

We founnd the Squirrel & Vine property to be extremely well located, just a couple of minutes walk from the very heart of this historic town. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, very clean and contained everything you could possibly need on holiday. Also provided was an exceptional range of reference material for the town and surrounding areas, from wine trails to restaurant guides to history books. Brilliant! Also there were visitor books in which guests could leave recommendations (or otherwise) about local attractions, restaurants, etc. We found these very useful, too. The provision of secure undercover parking, clear access instructions and easy key collection and return rounded off an excellent stay. Dot and I would have no hesitation recommending this apartment to Stellenbosch visitors."
