Newly constructed for 2007, and located in the tranquil village of Uzumlu, Villa Inºallah, (pronounced "Inshalla" meaning "If God Wills") is designed to make you feel totally at home with everything you need to make your holiday a truly memorable experience.

Nestling at the foot of the surrounding Taurus mountains, the village overlooks the stunning valley, where grape vines thrive to supply the wine production, the region is so famous for (you can even buy wine by taking your own bottle to the local garage).

The heart of Uzumlu is its square where the most exciting thing that happens is a backgammon game outside the village tea house, or the weekly local produce market, as daily Turkish life goes on.

Here women still make throws on traditional looms as they have for centuries alongside the barbers shop and several convenience stores and family restaurants.

Although the locals may not speak a great deal of English, a smile goes a long way and youll be made to feel very welcome with a great deal of fun being had when you order a meal in one of the several restaurants dotted in and around the village. Even the simple Pide shop (Turkish Pizza) just off the main square with its rickety tables and ramshackle chairs can offer you a couple of tempting Pides with side salad and a bottle of water for 4 YTL (less than 2GBP).

As with all Turkish communities, youll no doubt hear the calling to prayer several times a day from the local mosque which is almost magical as the sound carries across the valley.

A far cry from the genuine fake shops and eat as much as you like restaurants of Hisaronu, Uzumlu may not be to everyones taste. However, if youre looking for a true taste of Turkish village life, just a few minutes from the attractions of Olu Deniz, Hisaronu and Fethiye, then Uzumlu is the place for you.



 

Benefiting from full air-conditioning as well as 4 bathrooms equipped with showers, hand basins and WCs, the villa can comfortably accommodate 9 people. In addition, a cot is provided for the use of visitors if required.

All bedrooms have direct access onto balconies with the master bedroom and adjacent double bedroom having views over the pool and terrace area. Whilst downstairs, the lounge leads onto a balcony stretching the full width of the property giving panoramic views over the 30m2 pool and the sunbathing area to the mountains behind.

A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, and an electric fan oven, four ring gas hob, together with a microwave oven, ensures that everythings at hand you could possibly want to prepare a succulent meal from fresh local produce. There is a further balcony off the kitchen area with views to the mountains on the other side of the valley.


If cookings not your idea of a relaxing evening, then why not set the boys on doing the cooking on the purpose built stone barbeque whilst you sit in alongside in the poolside pagoda, with that bottle of local wine whilst enjoying the sun setting behind the hills, directly in front of you to the sound of chirping crickets. What more could you ask for !

If youd rather curl up on the sofa with a copy of The Wedding Date and a box of tissues, then the TV, DVD and Cinema surround sound system should satisfy your needs (but bring your own DVDs please).

 

With its own 30m2 pool, it maybe tempting for you not to leave your villa. However, for the more adventurous, the nearby areas offer a whole host of activities to suit every possible taste.

Whether its a gentle horse ride through the pine clad forests to the ghost village of Kaya or Paragliding from the top of the mountain above Olu Deniz beach- just 6,500 feet below- every possible taste is catered for, with all activities being bookable locally and include transfer from, and return to, your villa.

Tandem Paragliding (Approx Adult 55 GBP)
Youre taken by all terrain vehicle, climbing the 6500ft to the top of the mountain. Here your personal qualified professional instructor will brief you before the two of you launch yourself off the cliff for the ride of your life.
As you descend, experiencing turns, wingovers and even thermals, you are treated to one of the most breathtaking sceneries on earth and the most photographed in Turkey - The beautiful natural lagoon known as Olu Deniz.

Jeep Safari (Approx Adult 18 GBP, Child 9 GBP.)
The convoy of jeeps, departs Calis Nr Fethiye at around 9am and heads off into the countryside. You soon leave the main roads behind and pass through villages where the locals await to greet you by spraying you with water (a somewhat refreshing if not unusual way of keeping cool) as local children wave and smile in the hope that youll throw a few sweets to them as you pass.
Climbing higher, you pass the ancient ruins of Tlos, where legend has it, Pegasus once lived.
Calling at the trout farm at Yakapak, within a protected national park area, you have the opportunity to have a drink and a snack and see if you can stand the icy cold waters of a pool.
Next stop is Saklikent, the second largest canyon in Europe of truly breathtaking beauty. Here you stop for a very generous and tasty lunch (inc in price) before setting off once again. After a short drive following the river downstream theres a stop to bathe in the mud from the river bed.
Carrying on you arrive at Pattara beach, which at 22km long is one of Turkeys longest beaches for some well deserved rest and relaxation to enjoy a cool dip in the Mediterranean before returning to your villa at around 7pm.

"Gullet" Boat Trip (Approx Adult 10 GBP, Child 5 GBP.)
Bring plenty of sun cream, your swimwear and a big floppy hat for this full day trip around the coasts and islands surrounding Fethiye. Theres ample opportunity to swim snorkel or just bathe, with toilets and shower facilities on board. A BBQ lunch is provided (normally pasta, salad, meatballs and fish) and all thats extra are you ice cold drinks on board.

"Hamam" Turkish Bath (Approx Adult 10 GBP, Child 5 GBP)
Why not hop on a Dolmus (the local Turkish minibus) from the main road and head into Fethiye (will cost you about 3 YTL =1GBP). When you get off the Dolmus (at the main Mosque in Fethiye), ask anyone to point you towards Paspatur (the old town) which is just 5 mins walk. Here amongst the narrow streets youll find the Hamam (again anyone will direct you if asked) where youll experience a totally unique and relaxing experience which your whole party can enjoy together. Your body will be scrubbed from head to toe stripping you of your dead skin, preparing it for a much deeper and longer lasting tan, which for best effect should be taken early on in your stay.
You can return to your villa by catching a dolmus at the main Mosque, looking out for the one marked Uzumlu.

Fethiye Market (Tuesday)
Again, hop on a Dolmus and travel into Fethiye to the main Mosque. When you get off, look behind you and youll see one of the largest markets in the area with almost everything on sale from real fake watches to spices and Turkish delight.
Making a purchase requires you to haggle, and whilst sometimes the sellers can be keen to sell you almost anything, its a generally light hearted affair and all part of the days entertainment.

Quad Bike (half day Approx Adult 20 GBP or 30GBP for Adult with Child on single bike)
Dont wear anything too smart as its going to be dusty travelling off road across tracks, through villages and ending up at the beach for a welcome swim and lunch. Although children under 14 are not permitted to drive, they are welcome to join a suitable adult as pillion so a truly memorable day out, even if your white tee-shirt is only suitable for the bin when you return !
 

All rooms finished to very high standard and tastefully decorated throughout. The comfortable lounge is equipped with TV, DVD player and cinema surround sound which also plays music CDs. All bedrooms are individually equipped with hairdryers and full length mirrors. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances including full electric oven, four ring gas hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, electric toaster, kettle and full height fridge freezer. In addtion, an ironing board and iron are provided for your use. Towels (1 bath + 1 hand) and bed linen are provided for your stay and a washing machine is available for self laundering of these items during your stay.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television and home cinema with dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Hed telephoned us shortly after arriving excited at what hed described as a little gem in a beautiful village........His comments say it all really. Beautiful in all respects.......Cant really add anymore except that you must try the Cadianda II restaurant on the main road which is run by Mustafa and Nurgel. We mentioned that we were staying at Ron & Mikes place and they couldnt do enough for us. Excellent food at very reasonable prices."
