Villa Ernesta is situated in the hills of Uzumlu, just a 3 minute walk outside the heart of the Uzumlu village, where you are able to see the surrounding breathtaking views of the rambling Taurus mountain range and the Uzumlu valley.

On entering the Villa Ernesta entrance hall an archway leads to a fully equipped kitchen and access to the terrace area where you will find a BBQ for entertaining, bistro set for quick snacks a large pool area where you can soak up the sun on sun loungers, take shade under umbrellas, an outside shower, and private swimming pool.

Going through the French doors from the hallway you will be taken to the lounge with feature fireplace and 2 sofas which seats 6 people and a dinning room which seats 8 people. From here there is access to the terrace area with another dining area with bamboo table and chairs for eating outside at breakfast or evening time, overlooking the mountains and the Uzumlu valley and access to the swimming pool.

If you want to relax for the evening there is a TV room and a cosy corner sofa called a "kusrk", a typical Turkish seating area on the same floor.

The first floor has a master bedroom with a king sized four poster wrought iron bed and en-suite bathroom with a corner spa bath and shower. There is a queen sized bed in the second bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Third bedroom has a double bed. All these rooms have air conditioning to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

The top floor has a large double bedroom which also sleeps a single bed -- with air conditioning and leads to a hidden sun terrace. On the same floor there is a twin room and single room.

The ground floor and first floor are all laid with local marble throughout, the furniture in most rooms are of pine and hand made. Shower rooms can be found on all floors.


 

Uzumlu is an unspoilt traditional Turkish working village -- like stepping back in time. The hub of Uzumlu village is the village square, and dotted around the square you will find the local mosque and hear the calling of Allah., arts and crafts -where you can actually watch the locals weaving on their looms in cotton, silk and wool, a bakery, shops and it has a Friday market where you can buy local produce, situated just outside the mosque. Uzumlu is known for it’s fine grapes and the word "uzum" means grapes, so why not taste the local wine, eat some Turkish cuisine at some of the restaurants in Uzumlu or if you want a more informal environment why not try the local "Pide" pizza or have a bite to eat at the local Uzumlu cafe and bar. 

You can travel on the local Dolmus (mini-bus) down through the mountains into the bustling town of Fethiye town and the marina which is 20 minutes away. Fethiye has lots of shops, restaurants, bars, fish market and a large Tuesday market. A dolmus ride away from here you will find the resort of Oludeniz where you find daily boat trips, paragliding or just relax on the beach at the all famous "Blue Lagoon". If you are looking for a lively night out, with clubs and restaurants you have nearby Hisaronu

Local historical site is the ancient hilltop Roman /Lycian city of Kadyanda (Cadinada) surrounded by pine trees which is about 15 minutes away from the villa, behind Uzumlu and is an archaeological site which has been partially excavated, where you are able to ramble through the ancient theatre. Those who are interested in more archaeological sites, slightly further away you can reach Tlos, Pinara, Xanthos, Leton and the ancient ruins and unspoilt beach of Patara and Saklikent Gorge famous for white water rafting.

A car is recommended for touring the many other beaches, bays, mountains historic sites and attractions.


 

Villa Ernesta has a private pool

The villa comprises 6 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 twin, 1 single, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 5 bathrooms and 5 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, climbing, historic sites, a museum, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find water skiing, fishing, horse riding.
