Enjoy a wonderful relaxing holiday in Villa Diana, a luxury 4 bedroom detached triplex villa with private pool and garden. The villa is built in a Greco-Roman style with feature pillars, arches and decorations. Villa Diana is situated in a quiet residential part of Calis, but still close to local amenities, such as the beach, dolmus route, shops and restaurants. The immediate surrounding area is semi-rural and is a mixture of newer holiday homes and established Turkish houses. You will therefore experience the sights, sounds (and maybe occasional aromas) of Turkish life. There is a small shop 2 minutes walk from the villa, for all those essentials e.g. bread and milk etc, and there is a 'mini-market' about 5 minutes walk, just across the main Calis road. Here you can buy pretty much everything you need. The beach (at the Seril1 end) is an easy 10 minute flat walk. Enjoy the mountain views from the rear of the villa and the beautiful sunsets from the front roof terrace. Laze around the 30 sq metre pool on the cushioned sun loungers and enjoy a BBQ meal on the terraces. The villa has a private gated driveway. The garden and pool are maintained daily (except Sundays) and there is a mid-week maid service. Included in the villa service is a shopping trip to the large Migros (or Tansas) supermarket (in Fethiye), the day after you arrive, in addition to your welcome pack. The swimmimg pool is available throughout the May to October season.
 

NEW for 2008: A roof has been built over the front terrace providing welcome shade, and so that 'al-fresco' meals can be better enjoyed.
There is now a pool-side shower for guest use.
A mobile phone is now provided for guest use, useful for contacting the local agent or for making reservations.

The spacious accommodation is arranged as follows:-
The ground floor is open plan and air conditioned. The front door opens to a spacious entrance hallway, decorative archways separate the lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. French doors provide access to the front and rear terraces, where you can enjoy relaxing meals al-fresco. There is ground floor toilet/shower room - handy when using the pool.
Take the curved marble staircase up to the first floor, where you will find a master bedroom (double bed) with en-suite shower room and french door to a balcony overlooking the pool.
Bedroom 2 also has a double bed and a french door to the rear balcony with mountain views.
Also on this floor there is a luxurious main bathroom, complete with Jacuzzi corner bath and shower.
Continue up the marble staircase to the top floor, here you will find bedroom 3 (small double sofa-bed), complete with kitchenette and patio doors leading onto a private roof terrace with panoramic views (ideal for that 'all-over' tan). This room can be either used as a bedroom, or for the smaller parties as a wondeful 'chill-out' room to watch the sunsets.
Also on this floor is bedroom 4 (twin-beds), please note that this room has a partially sloping ceiling and mountain views.
The four bedrooms all have individually controlled air conditioning units - great when it's really hot. The air conditioning units also have reverse cycle heating facility, this is useful for the cooler evenings, early and late season.
If you need additional sleeping space, then the sofas in the lounge convert into either a kingsize double bed, or 2 single beds. Or alternatively, there are 2 fold-out beds available - these are great for kids.
A Cot and highchair are provided for infants (one). Although the villa can sleep a maximum of 10, a more comfortable maximum would be 8.
The villa has been newly and tastefully furnished and is now fully equipped and ready to use.

 

The villa is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area of Turkey. Fethiye is set in a pretty bay surrounded by pine-clad mountains and overlooking the 12 islands of the bay. It has a busy attractive harbour with excellent boat trips to be had day or night, plenty of good restaurants, and a weekly Tuesday market, to catch a bargain. Nearby is Olu Deniz, the famous nature reserve and beach. If you're looking for lively nightlife, Hisaronu is within easy reach of Fethiye.
Calis is a small, resort with a lovely promenade, complete with bars, restaurants and shops where you can spend many happy evenings watching the sun go down. There is a long, sand and shingle beach from where you can watch spectacular sunsets. A 'dolmus' mini bus picks you up from the end of the road, near the villa, if you want to go into Fethiye, Hisaronu or Olu Deniz. From the beach area a regular Water Taxi service runs to Fethiye, where there are various boat trips on offer, including the wonderful 12 islands cruise.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a patio area, a balcony, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, fishing.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find historic sites, a museum.

Edward says: "The villa is beautiful and very well equipped, the pool is wonderful and there is plenty of room for sunbathing on the comfortable loungers. The terraces are ideal for eating outside, providing a welcome shaded area. There were 7 adults in our party and we found the villa suitably spacious with plenty of storage space. The roof terrace of the patio bedroom on the top floor was an additional bonus. The neighbours are very friendy, being a mixture of turkish and european. The nearby shops can provide for all your needs. There were plenty of things to do, with the prom and beach, with its array of bars and restaurants being only a 10 minute stroll. At the Kum City Beach club you can use their loungers/umbrellas for free as long as you buy drinks/food there. The highlight of our holiday was the private day long boat trip, organised by Howard - the very helpful local agent. This cost of only 250ytl was was great value, which includes wonderful food provided throughout the day, with great swimming opportunties. We would certainly recommend a dolmus trip to Olu Deniz, to visit the fantastic beaches and lagoon. Here the more adventurous can parasail down from the top of mount Babadag. There are planty of trips available, information available in a folder, kindly provided by the villa owners. Overall we would certainly recommend Villa Diana and Calis, and plan to return next year."
