Mimosa Evi is a high quality and very spacious villa in the charming hillside hamlet of Faralya. Set in beautiful terraced gardens enclosing a private swimming pool, the villa commands stunning views across the wooded slopes and scattered rooftops of the village to the magnificent bay and even all the way to Rhodes on a clear day.
Faralya is an area of outstanding natural beauty, away from the tourist traps: this is "real" Turkey. There are 2 stunning beaches within easy walking distance. Have a 40 minute walk down to the unspoilt sandy beach at Kabak, or 15 minutes down to a beautiful usually deserted rocky beach with fabulous rock formations and crystal clear water: perfect for swimming or snorkeling.

There is a vast wilderness of Pine Forest directly behind Mimosa. A walking trail leads up from the garden onto the world-renowned "Lykian Way" where you may encounter goat herds, wildlife such as tortoises, eagles, pine martins and spectacular scenery.

The Sun rises behind the Villa and sets in the sea in front. The location of this villa ensures there is always sunshine in the pool area in the mornings as well as afternoons and evenings. In the summertime, the sun would hit the front of the pool area around 7.30am, then the sunny area moves rapidly to cover the whole pool by approximately 9.30 am. Then there is full sun all day. There is a new bamboo roof covering on the front terrace to provide shade and of course large parasols.




 

Inside, the house is equally impressive with a large comfortably furnished living room with floor to ceiling panoramic views of the Aegean sea, complete with comfortable sofas, satellite television, DVD player and an open fireplace for the cooler evenings. Opening out onto a large marble terrace with full sea view, ideal for al fresco dining whilst watching the magnificent sunsets. Guests can chose to use the barbecue or alternatively, the open plan fitted kitchen is certainly well equipped with a four-ring hob, full oven and fridge freezer in addition to a dishwasher.

Also on the ground floor are two well-furnished and air-conditioned double bedrooms, one with a private rear terrace and the other with French doors leading onto the main terrace offering stunning sea views. There is a bathroom with a walk-in “rainfall” shower.

Upstairs has been recently constructed and there you will find 3 additional bedrooms : 1 with ensuite bathroom, the other 2 share an additional bathroom. the 2 front bedrooms both have magnificent sea views. This villa certainly has the 5 star feel.

 

For those guests who can tear themselves away from spending lazy days around the pool, a hire car can be arranged and the famous beach and small resort of Oludeniz can be reached in less than twenty minutes. For those preferring to stay closer to home, very basic shopping can be done in the village grocery about 700 metres away and there are a couple of simple local restaurants in addition to Mandarin, where adult guests can enjoy a special five course dinner.
There is a superb minibus service (Dolmush) which will stop right at the bottom of the drive. This costs about £1 per person to Olu Deniz (each way) and there are about 5 dolmushes per day in the summertime.

The prices quoted are for up to 5 people with the use of 2 bathrooms. The villa can accommodate up to 8 people. Please contact owner for bookings over 5. Please note the larger bathroom upstairs has reduced head height. Taller guests would be more suited to the downstairs rooms.

The villa comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin, 1 single, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 5 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 5 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private west facing swimming pool, a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find sailing, boat hire, fishing, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, scuba diving, historic sites.

Lizzie says: "Weve just returned home after travelling for 6 weeks and our time at Mimosa Evi was the highlight. Nicola & Andrew have fitted out the villa beautifully and it accommodated 2 families holidaying together perfectly. The pool was well used by the children - starting at 7am right up until 8pm when the lighting provides for a lovely nightime dip. Although the villa is somewhat isolated, once we got used to the road it provided for us the perfect Turkish experience, without the congestion of overpopulated holiday resorts and typical tourist traps of nearby Oludeniz. If you are looking for a holiday with nightlife on hand and enjoy being surrounded by other holidaymakers, Mimosa Evi is probably not for you. If, however, you prefer to meet the people, try out your phrasebook Turkish, eat the way the locals do and enjoy your evenings drinking in the magical sunsets while sipping a cold one on the verandah, Mimosa Evi will not disappoint! We will have wonderful memories of our time in Faralya for a long time to come."
