A beautiful, bright and spacious apartment sleeps two, furnished in traditional Moroccan style with a large, two-sided, sunny terrace (sun and shade all day long) with unparalleled views over rugged Moroccan landscape. Situated in a tranquil residential area in new town, it’s walking distance from beach and ancient medina. The salon has a working Berber fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom with inbuilt shower is tiled in style of a Hammam, the large and light bedroom has doors opening out onto terrace.

Dar Luna is on the edge of Essaouira, so the views are spectacular. At night you can see the lights that lead away from the town towards Marrakech. The immediate locality is quiet and residential. It is in the new town, about tens minutes from the supermarket. There is a cornershop 2 minutes walk away, and the nicest hamam (public bath) is only two blocks away. It isn't essential to have a car. The beach is only 15 minutes walk away, the medina 25 minutes. From the medina it is easy to find a taxi which can take you back to the flat for only 7 dirham.
All the bars, shops and restaurants are found in the medina or along the beach.  

Dar Luna is special as it is not only a base from which to explore Essaouira but a haven from all the excitement. The flat remains cool during the day. It is full of light, in the morning you can watch the sun rise from the terrace and the bedroom floods with light.. At night you can sit on the terrace with your drinks, there are lights on the terrace. You can peep over the side and watch the wild boars that sometimes rummage in the dustbins below. The carpets add to the sense of coziness and the living room has a very comfortable sofa suite, great to curl up and read books on. There is a chimney that you can use The kitchen is european style (the whole flat was designed by me) and has an oven and a gas hob. I have made a fantastic prune and almond tagine in it, so it works! It has all the right kitchen tools, including a coffee macine and washing machine.
 

Because I am a keen cook I have equipped the kitchen with everything needed to make gorgeous moroccan meals, including a Tagine pot. There is a new washing machine and refridgerator. There is hot water.
