The sound of tinkling water from the rose petal strewn marble fountain greets visitors as they step across the threshold into this oasis of calm. Situated in a prime location within the medina, close to shops and restaurants and only a short stroll away from the beach, this house has been lovingly designed to create an attractive and welcoming environment. At ground floor level is a generous open plan salon/reading room with books and ipod dock, a tea kitchen and a WC. On the first floor you will find a master suite consisting of a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and small dressing room/nursery, a further double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a twin room with ensuite facilities.There is also another separate WC. Another flight of stairs leads you to the property's first roof terrace which is walled and completely private. It is overlooked only by a light and airy salon which boasts a fire place, satellite TV,a DVD player and a cosy dining area. Next door to this is the fully equipped kitchen. There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine, an outdoor shower to cool off under and a table and chairs for al fresco eating. A second roof terrace is dedicated to sunbathing. From here you can see not only the roof tops of Essaouira but also the sea!

 

The house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults plus one child. Small children, however, will need supervision as the property is not child-proofed. The many stairs make it unsuitable for anyone, young or old, unsteady on their legs.

A delicious freshly made breakfast is included in the rate and home cooked evening meals can also be provided at a low cost. Babysitting and excursions can also be organised for you.

The property is generally available for a minimum of three nights, although over Christmas and New Year, at Easter, during the Gnoua Festival in June and in August it is let on a weekly basis only.
 

 

The property has a total of three fridges to allow for generous water and drinks storage. There is a hairdryer in each of the three bedrooms. There is a coffee machine There are four sun loungers on the upper terrace and an outside shower on the lower terrace. An ipod dock, Cds, DVDs and board games are available

The house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin, 1 single, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 3 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Sasha says: "The house is lovely and the location excellent. Essaouira is a lovely town and a great place for families, due to the laid back nature of the people, the beach and the fun to be had haggling in the Medina. We will definitely return. The only very slight niggle we had was that there were no provisions at all when we arrived at the house, not even a bottle of water or toilet paper. It wasn't a problem as there is a shop outside the house but as the advert promised a welcome pack we did expect at least a roll of toilet paper in one of the bathrooms. We would certainly return to the house again and have already recommended it to our friends and family."

But we were mortified to hear about the lack of welcome basket, water and loo paper although we are most grateful to you for pointing this out as it is, in our view, quite unacceptable. Unfortunately, these oversights were down to human error and they have now been put right. I doubt whether this situation will repeat itself. It is most important to us to make our guests feel welcome! Should you return to Essaouira, dinner will be on us!
