Dar Edouard is inside the ancient Medina, which in 2001 UNESCO declared a World Heritage site. It is a peaceful house, situated down a tranquil alley way, just a short distance from the bustling Bab Marrakech. Restaurants and shops, including a bakery where bread is baked throughout thd day, are only minutes away.

A thoughtful renovation has given the house a light and spacious ambiance, and provides comfortable accomodation for six people, spread over two floors. The three bedrooms are furnished with traditionally painted Moroccan furniture, and the floors throughout the house are black and white tiled. A good sized sitting room and dining room are on the second floor and the roof terrace makes a wonderful place to eat, sun bathe and relax.

 

A wide staircase takes you straight up from the street to the first floor. Bedroom 1 with ensuite bathroom leads off the hallway and from the other end of the hallway, the second bedroom and en suite bathroom are found. On the second floor, the sitting room leads off from the hallway to the left and from the sitting room you enter the third bedroom. The dining room and kitchen are at the other end of the hallway plus a bathroom. The staircase continues up to the roof terrace. This area is attractively decorated with local plants and sun loungers, plus table and chairs for dining which makes it a great place to watch the sun go down.
 

For larger groups there is a two bed room, ground floor apartment with a separate entrance which is also available to rent.

The Medina is traffic free so if you do arrive with a car, you will can park just outside Bab Marrakesh, which costs around around £1 a day. It is by no means necessary to have a car to enjoy Essaouira; local taxis are inexpensive and if you do wish to go further afield then we are able to arrange either a rented car or a car plus driver for you. If you would like to be met at Marrakech, Agadir or Essaouira airports this can be easily arranged at a competitive price. 

Cleaning is provided by Hafida our maid on 6 days a week. Sunday is her usual day off. She is also available to prepare meals for you at an additional cost paid locally. If you would like her to provide breakfast or an evening meal on your first day please contact us and let us know what you would like before you leave.

The house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 3 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use.

The house has television satellite/cable. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a kettle. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
