Asha Cottage
Asha Cottage is actually a grouping of three separate structures - a main house, a separate guest wing and a snooker room and wine bar. They are all positioned around the swimming pool and all face the beach, which is only fifteen metres away.
The main house is composed of a left and a right wing, separated by a verandah which is covered by a makuti roof (a traditional roof made with dried coconut leaves). The right wing as you come in is the Cosgroves' private area, while the left wing hosts the Seahorse and Nautilus guest rooms. The central verandah is a common area where meals are taken, music is played and is where most conversations and late night star gazing take place!
Asha Cottage has five guests rooms. Two are located in the Main House while the other three are located in the separate Guest Wing in front of the pool. All rooms are equipped with Air Conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito netting on the windows. All rooms also have a very spacious ensuite bathroom.
The Seahorse Room and Nautilus Rooms are located in the main house, just off the verandah. They are double rooms with king-sized beds. The Nautilus Room also has a television with DSTV cable TV connection (Africa's leading pay-TV).
The Red, Yellow and Blue rooms are located in the separate guest wing of Asha Cottage. The Red and Yellow rooms have two single beds, while the Blue room has another king-sized bed. The Blue Room is a special room, right on the beach, which we like to offer to our honeymoon guests and couples who seek privacy and a beautiful sea view. All rooms see the sun rise over the horizon of the Indian Ocean every morning. All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
The Snooker Room and Wine Bar is the third locale on the Asha Cottage grounds. It is home to our half-size snooker table and wine bar. It is an air conditioned environment where drinks are served, pool is played and there are various tables for bridge and board games. It also has a lovely outside deck that overlooks the sea where guests can sit and have a drink (or a cigarette), chat, play games, and even have a meal in the evenings.
