This stunning riad style house is in an ideal location in the heart of the ancient walled medina in Essaouira.

The house is next door to the Hamman made famous by Orson Wells and is beautifully presented, traditionally restored by local craftsmen.

There are 3 double bedrooms with hand-painted Marrakech style furniture.

Living room with large fireplace and hand-made Arabesque furniture.

2 bathrooms finished in Tadelakt (marble plaster) with chrome fittings.

The dining area has Berber-style seating

The kitchen has Tadelakt work surfaces and is fully equipped.

The large terrace is split-level with panoramic views of the sea and across the medina to the beach and surrounding hills.

There are Spice Markets, food stalls and traditional souks on the doorstsep.
 

The main square with all the restaurants and bars is a 5 min walk away.

The beach is also a few minutes walk away, where you can relax at beachside bars and restaurants or enjoy the various watersports on offer.

There are also facilities for quad biking, horse-riding or camel trekking.
 

The medina is pedestrian only and all the historic sites are within walking distance but there are car hire agencies if you require.

Spacious and comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, cosy loungroom with fireplace, private terrace for sunbaking, clean and luxurious bathrooms, creating a living space like a palace. This all close to the two main streets that run through the heart of the Medina where you can shop to you drop, eat out in a choice of amazing restaurants and cafes, or buy local fresh produce from markets to cook for yourself. When the busy streets and sites of Essaouira become overwhelming escaping to the peace and quiet of your own Riad is a real treat. Six of us stayed at this Riad for one week, which made our stay very reasonable and we all had plenty of space to chill out on our own if required. We wouldn't hesitate to book this place again!!
