Nestled in the foothills below the Virgen del Saliente Monastery in northern Almeria lies Carpe Diem which comprises three cortijos with variable accommodation. Surrounded by mountains and almond trees it gives the visitor a taste of the real Spain in this beautiful part of Andalucia.
Carpe Diem is well situated for trips to the beaches of Mojácar, Garrucha and elsewhere (approximately 40 minutes away) or to the beautiful lakes at Baza - only an hour away. Also within easy driving distance is the famous city of Granada (one and a half hours) and the ski slopes of the Sierras Nevada. And at the end of the day you return to the calm and tranquility of our beautiful rural location, away from the hustle and bustle of these tourist attractions.


 

We, the owners, live in the Carpe Diem complex and we are available at most times to answer any queries that you may have and to demonstrate our commitment to making your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.
Our two cortijos are available for both short term rentals and long term rentals and are ideally suited to those seeking a peaceful and relaxed holiday in self-catering accommodation in rural Spain.

 

We go that further mile for all of our guests but particularly so to help those who may be visiting this area for the first time – either on holiday, touring, or perhaps as potential property buyers.
Each of our two cottages has just completed total renovation/refurbishment and is fully self-contained, but we will provide breakfast or an evening meal on arrival if required. Please be sure to mention any such requirement on your booking form along with any other special requirements.
 

The finca comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 2 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The finca has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The finca has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 3 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Stuart says: "We choose this property simply by web-surfing for a suitable property to rent in the area for a house hunting visit. However we couldn't have chosen better. The owners live on-site and so were able to immediately sort out the only problem we had - the handle of the bread knife had been broken by a previous occupant! The location is superb in what I call 'real Spain', a quiet village atmosphere yet not too far to drive to town for shopping etc. And the pool, at 10m long, was brilliant for mixing relaxation with exercise. And the memories of the impromptu evenings in the setting sun with bbq'd food and local wine still keep me smiling even though we've now returned to the grey and damp UK. In fact, we're just booked a return visit!"
