26 Marina del Mar is on a new development situated close to the residential area of La Marina.This is located SOUTH of ALICANTE, between Alicante airport and the pretty, bustling town of Torrevieja on the COSTA BLANCA. The villa is just 5 MINUTES WALK away from the local bars and restaurants. The area is peaceful and suitable for families, and for couples and those looking to explore the nightlife of the area, there is a variety of cosmopolitan bars and restaurants to suit every taste and budget less than 5 MINUTES WALK away. There are 3 large supermarkets 1 is 2 MINS. WALK away and other 2 within 10 minutes walk from the villa. For those wishing to try something different, there is a large STREET MARKET 5 mins walk away on SUNDAYS and THURSDAYS. There is a doctor's surgery, a pharmacy, several banks and a tourist information centre, also several INTERNET CAFES for a convenient and inexpensive way of keeping in touch with those at home! There is a regular and efficient BUS SERVICE operating to the nearest main towns so car hire is by no means essential. However, if you are feeling adventurous and wish to explore places further afield, try www.aquacar.net or www.carjet.com for a car hire estimate. Cars can also be hired on arrival at Alicante airport, which is 20 minutes drive away from La Marina. There is also a LOCAL TAXI SERVICE if required.


We took possession of the villa in May 2004 and use it regularly as a holiday home for us and for friends and relations. We fell in love with the sheer spaciousness of the villa and the feeling of calm and tranquility it offers. When you enter the villa there is a real feeling of escape from the outside world and leaving behind all the stress and worry of everyday life. The villa comfortably accommodates 6 PEOPLE as there is a DOUBLE BEDROOM and TWO TWIN BEDROOMS. It has a large, open plan lounge and dining area and a separate fully fitted kitchen with a staircase from the kitchen leading upwards to a LARGE ROOFTOP SUN TERRACE and BARBEQUE area with CONSERVATORY and this offers spectacular views over the nearby towns and surrounding landscape and is perfect for daytime sunbathing or enjoying a cool drink in the evening as you watch the sun setting over the hills of the COSTA BLANCA and also for watching SPECTACULAR FIREWORK DISPLAYS in nearby towns. Also ideal for enjoying an evening barbecue! There is a large bath/shower room also. There is a driveway for PRIVATE PARKING and a ground floor BALCONY with patio furniture. This is bathed in sunlight in the morning, making it the perfect place to enjoy an al fresco breakfast. All meals can be cooked in the kitchen, which is fitted with a fridge, hob, oven and microwave, toaster and electric kettle, also a washing machine. The lounge area has CABLE/SATELITE TV. offering all the main BRITISH CHANNELS. The rooms are fitted with ceiling fans, to make your holiday in La Marina more comfortable. The development has a beautiful communal SWIMMING POOL with its own children's pool area and sunbathing area, literally a 1 MINUTE WALK away from the villa. These are very well maintained and are set in a spacious lawned area and within view of the villa.

 

La Marina BEACH is a 5 minute car drive away and there is a regular bus service to it during the summer months. The beach has soft white sand and is backed by a pine forest offering plenty of shade. It has several beach bars open during the summer and there is also a restaurant, where you can dine overlooking the Meditteranean and the isle of Tabarca, said to be frequented by pirates in ancient times! SUNBEDS are available for hire and CARPARKING is FREE. Costa Blanca beaches have a good record, with over 30 of them having been awarded EU 2 BLUE FLAG standards for cleanliness, safety and amenities. 

The pretty town of TORREVIEJA is only 20 minutes drive away. You can visit its traditional Spanish street markets, Aquopolis Water Park and Natural Lake Parks. You can also visit the enormous CARREFOUR HYPERMARKET (also found in Elche).

BENIDORM is 1 hour's drive away and boasts the famous theme park of TERRA METICA reputed to rival Euro Disney. There is also a Sea World; and a very big WATER PARK. You can also try a JEEP SAFARI, wander round the beautiful Old Town, or visit Benidorm Palace. If you decide not to hire a car, there are coach trips to Benidorm (information available from the Tourist Information Centre in La Marina).
There are FREE BUS TOURS available to different areas of interest almost every day of the week.
The Costa Blanca boasts several superb GOLF COURSES, all within a 20 minute drive of La Marina. There is also scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing and bird watching and you can also visit the famous salt lakes near Santa Pola.

La Marina is not short of distractions and you will never be bored, however it is also a haven of tranquility which allows you to relax and recharge your batteries. You will return from your holiday in La Marina relaxed, refreshed and invigorated, and already looking forward to going back the following year!




 

Sun Loungers and patio furniture are provided for use on the roof top solarium and also a barbeque. A microwave is provided in the kitchen and beach mats for use on the beach. Beach towels are not provided. Duvets and portable radiators are provided for use during the winter months when the nights are cooler.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The villa has television satellite/cable. The music system will play radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing garden, a south facing patio area, a east facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking, cycling, tennis, a sports center, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, fishing, golf.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find water skiing, climbing, horse riding, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.
