Beautiful large privately owned 5 bedroom townhouse in Jijona (Xixona).

Jijona is a ‘real’ historical Spanish town built on the side of a mountain.

This UNIQUE house is approx 400 years old with most of the original beamed ceilings. It has been totally refurbished with new electrics, plumbing etc. The sewerage is connected to the mains supply so there are no nasty smells!


The house is set out on 5 floors. The entrance hall boasts a traditional log burner which provides the whole house with heat when required. Up a few stairs to the right is a study/store room and straight ahead is a large kitchen/diner with fitted kitchen and table and chairs. Door to outside utility area.

Next level to left is L-shaped lounge with TV/DVD (please bring your own DVD's/CD's although there is a small selection available) leading to a large terrace – totally private and not overlooked. Central is a bathroom with bath/shower. To right is the first bedroom with double bed and patio doors leading to tiny balcony. All balconies are at the front of the house and look out onto the narrow Spanish street.

Next floor up to the left is another bedroom with double bed, this room with its own terrace overlooking larger terrace below. Bathroom with shower is central on this floor with a twin bedroom is on the right with patio doors and balcony.

Top floor has 2 twin bedrooms – room on left overlooks terrace and room on right is a twin with French doors and balcony.

Please note that all essentials are in place but some finishing touches, i.e. pictures, accessories etc are still be installed but will be finished by end of year. This is reflected in the price!
 

This is a mainly Spanish speaking town although there is usually someone around that can speak English!
 

Perfect for golfing holidays and/or large families. 15 kms to the beautiful beaches of El Campello and San Juan and 20 kms from the bustling town centre of Alicante. 33 kms driving from Alicante airport straight up on the motorway and only 12 kms from the famous Bonalba Golf Course. There is a sports complex in the town (10 min walk) which has a lovely outdoor pool.

Fiestas take place most weekends when the town really livens up. Most of August is full of parades and parties.

Jijona is most famous for its Turron, a sweet Spanish delicacy said to be of Moorish origin. The historical factory is open daily for tours.

There are lots of interesting places for keen walkers to visit. Guided tours can be arranged (please ask for more details if required).

Benidorm is about 35 mins drive away as is Terra Mitica theme park, Terra Natur (wildlife park), Aqualandia water park and Mundomar (dolphin/sea lion shows).
 

One large totally private terrace off lounge with garden furniture and plants. Second smaller terrace off a double bedroom - both secluded. 3 small balconies at front of house in bedrooms. Log burner provides adequate heating during winter. Very thick granite walls keep house cool during summer - air conditioning not required. View from top floor balcony includes mountains opposite (although partially obstructed) and to right you can see Alicante and sea (on a clear day) in the distance.

The house comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 3 twin. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The house has television dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
