vILLA AMARELLA is a lovely family villa, refurbished and modernised. Amarella is a mature Portuguese villa, with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with high ceilings, mahogany floors and now refurbished in modern style. It is located on the rural outskirts of Almancil, in the Vale Formosa area. Villa Amarella comfortably sleeps 8 and, using another double bed, portable beds and cot can sleep up to 12 Prices advertised are for 8 people. Extra £95 pppw up to 12 but any child in a cot is free. 10% discount for groups of up to 6.

Amarella has a 12m x 6m pool which is heated FREE OF CHARGE mid March to end October each year. There is aircon to all bedrooms providing you with cool and warmth throughout the year. During winter months we will also supply logs for the log fire in the lounge.

PRICE INCLUDES: All linen/towels, villa cleaning, aircon. Heated pool mid March to end October. We also provide pool towels so no need to bring your own. An English speaking local manager will meet you at the villa soon after arrival and will remain on call throughout your holiday.

THE VILLA
Villa Amarella has 3 twin rooms on the ground floor - each capable of taking an extra portable bed or cot. Each has floor to ceiling cupboards and has been refurbished in modern style. On the first floor is a huge 4th ensuite bedroom / flat with two double beds and its own private terrace and seating overlooking the garden and pool.
A range of full sized portable beds and portable cots are available enable occupancy up to 12 people in the villa.

There are 3 bathrooms and a further WC. 2 of the bathrooms are ensuite.

The lounge is very large approx 70 sq m, furnished with sofas and chairs with satellite TV, DVD and log fire. Three double doors lead to the large pool terrace and heated pool. A raised dining area with marble table and chairs leads off from the lounge area.

Ceilings are high, floors are mahogany wood throughout. Main living area is always cool but there is aircon to all bedrooms..

The new kitchen is fully equipped with absolutely everything you could ever wish for - including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc with a large sunny breakfast room off to the side.

Villa Amarella has a large 12m x 6m south facing heated pool surrounded by a large terrace equipped with chairs, tables, loungers, parasols and large BBQ. The pool is lit during the evenings. Fun and games!! There is a boules area in the garden.

The villa is fully gated and has a beautiful mature garden surrounding it. There is bamboo pergola on the pool terrace offering deep shade for warmer months.

Villa Amarela is located on the semi-rural outskirts of Almancil.It is only 4-5 mins walk to a local bar/restaurant and a further 5 mins drive into Almancil. It is possible to reach the centre of Almancil within 15-18 mins walking. Importantly it is only 3.5 kms from Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo golf courses, fantastic shopping and just a few kms to major beach resorts of Quarteira and Vilamoura. Within 7 mins walking is a small local train station where you can access trains to the whole of the Algarve.

Car hire is essential if you wish to visit local beaches.

GOLFERS
This villa is Ideally located for golfing holidays throughout the year with Quinta do Lago and Vale de Lobo golf courses only 3.5 kms away. And rentable at a fraction of the cost!!!

SURROUNDING AREA
Villa Amarella is set in a semi-rural location, amidst other superior mature villas, yet very quiet and private and only a very pleasant 5 minutes walk to a local bar/restaurants and 15 mins walk to medical centre, supermarkets, bank etc Within 1 km there are numerous other shops/restaurants.

Within only 10-15 minutes drive you can access major attractions including a broad range of restaurants and enjoy Portuguese, French, Brazilian, German and Italian food. Within 15-30 mins drive there are major Central Algarve attractions e.g. water parks, go karting circuits, water sports, horse riding, tennis and you can swim with dolphins at Zoo Marine. We recommend car hire to fully enjoy this wonderful area, its fine beaches, golf courses and major attractions.

Faro airport is only 20/25 mins drive away. Low cost flights can be achieved into Lisbon (2.5 hrs from the villa) and into Seville (2 hours from the villa). (No problems hiring cars in Spain and bringing them into Portugal).

Car hire not essential to enjoy the immediate area by highly recommended to explore outside of the immediate area. 

The lounge area of some 70 sq m has seating for 12 people, satellite TV, DVD, hi-fi system. There is a wonderful log burning stove for cooler months. All floors are of solid mahogany. There are 4 large floor to ceiling windows in the lounge offering wonderful views of the garden and pool/terrace area.

The new kitchen is of the highest quality with granite work surfaces throughout. It is fully equipped to include microwave, oven, fridge, freezer, washing machine - all you could ever need. There is a large breakfast area in the kitchen, with a huge window which overlooks the garden and with a wonderful large palm tree immediately outside (see photo). 

The pool is fully equipped with loungers, tables, chairs and parasols. There is also a a pergola offering deep shade for hotter months. On the terrace is an exceptionally large BBQ with own seating, mature gardens surround the villa.

There is no garage but ample parking space for 2 cars on the drive, with shade, and other very safe parking immediately outside the villa.

 

This wonderful south facing mature villa is set in established landscaped gardens. There is a large BBQ with circular seating, a large pool terrace which is fully equipped with tables, chairs, loungers. There is further seating on the first floor balacony. The villa has recently been refurbished to the highest level. You will NOT be disappointed. This really is a fabulous mature villa upgraded to modern standards.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 3 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 2 single sofa beds located in the can be placed anywhere, 1 double sofa bed located in the in the flat/large bedroom which sleeps 6. This gives room for up to 12 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 4 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds.

There is room for 12 in the living room and 12 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside a restaurant.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, fishing, walking, cycling, golf, historic sites, a zoo, shopping areas, a themepark, a food shop.

This villa is only 10 mins driving from golf courses in Quinta do Lago.

STEVEN says: "The description and photos of the property do not do it justice. On arrival we spent about half an hour just walking around the villa, commenting on how good everything was - the space, the layout, the decor, the facilities. The pool area was beautiful, as was the garden with its lemon, lime and orange trees. The excellent bbq was put to good use throughout our stay. Also a friendly local bar about 3 or 4 minutes walk away. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the villa itself. The only downside was the local area of Almancil. The initial description led us to believe the beach was only 15 minutes away, without explaining that this was 15 minutes BY CAR. As this was not a beach holiday it wasnt a great problem - we spent a day at Tavira in Eastern Algarve to keep the kids happy, and they were happy enough spending the days in the pool. Also beware - Almancil is a working town and a fairly unattractive one at that. Do not expect to spend warm evenings sitting in a pretty pavement cafe in the towns central courtyard area, watching the world slowly drift by - this is a busy, functional, fairly bland town, with very little worthwhile to recommend it, other than The Fat Frog restaurant. For pretty, go to Tavira - we will be next year."
