LagunaSol is a private home offered to share with guests and is equipped and furnished with contemporary luxury and quality in mind. The apartment is large and spacious providing a luxurious environment for a holiday. Suitable for couples, families and groups of friends the versatile accommodation suits every need. Air Conditioning/Heating is installed for added comfort in the hot summer months and cool winter evenings. We have used large, stunning locally woven, brightly coloured rugs as wall decorations in each room.

The large living/dining room has leather sofas which are luxurious and extremely comfortable - one of these converts to a comfortable double bed. There is Satellite TV and a DVD/CD player with iPod connection, all connected to theatre surround sound. There is a growing library of DVD and CD titles. The contemporary wooden dining furniture expands to seat from 6 to 10. The kitchen is furnished with locally quarried Almeria granite and, as we are keen cooks ourselves, we have equipped the kitchen to a high standard with good quality cooking equipment and utensils.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 are on the upper floor, Bedroom 1 has its own ensuite and Bedroom 2 has a private bathroon - both are complete with bath, shower, basin, bidet, and shaving point. Each bed has high quality comfortable beds and matresses which can be configured as singles or doubles. All our bedlinen is soft white cotton and our towels are large and plentiful. There are huge wardrobes and numerous hangers. Each bedroom opens on to the top terrace with views over the lagoon, Alpujarras mountains and the distant snow-capped Sierra Nevada.

Bedroom 3, on the lower floor, is a large room and opens directly onto the huge terrace through wall to wall sliding glass doors, offering views to the sea and lagoon - even from the beds! Bedroom 3 has 2 beds plus 2 pull-outs - again with good quality matresses -making this an ideal Family Room (sleeping 4). Again the singles can also be configured as doubles.

Smoking is only permitted on the terrace.

 

The luxury complex of Sol De Alboran has private lawned landscaped gardens, full of palm trees and exotic plants. The huge summer swimming pool (50 metres x 25 metres) has a separate paddling pool. 3 lifeguards are on duty at all times. There are 4 floodlit mini tennis courts and changing rooms/WCs. Private gates open direct to the promenade, beside the beach. We have two large terraces, the main one has two sets of wooden dining furniture, two tables, two benches and 4 armchairs. Two sunbeds with removable padded cushions. The Bedroom terrace has one set of wooden furniture (table, bench and 2 armchairs). Guests have use of four mountain bikes, tennis and badminton equipment, a good set of golf clubs, boules sets and various other board and card games. 

We are experienced golfers ourselves and consider oursleves extremely well off for golf in this area of Andalucia. Almerimar Golf Course, the oldest in the area (25 years), was designed by Gary Player. Its 18 holes are fun and challenging. It's 1 kilometer from LagunaSol and has good club house/pro's shop facilities. A further 9 holes opened during 2005. Within 20 minutes drive are two other courses. La Envia, a stunning course, built in a mountain basin surrounded by sophisticated houses and a new 5 star hotel. Playa Serena at Roquets de Mar is a good quality holiday golf course. About an hour's drive away - straight along the excellent fast motorway - are 3 further excellent courses - Valle del Este, Desert Springs and Mojacar Marina - all offering top quality golf.Almerimar is only 1.5 hour's drive from the famous Sierra Nevada ski resort - straight along fast, uncrowded motorways. The ski-ing complex is large with a wide variety of excellent ski runs, from challenging blacks to simpler nursery slopes. There are a large number of cable cars and tow bars, with excellent catering in the ski village and at the top of the mountain. It's perfectly feasible to spend a morning ski-ing and the afternoon sunbathing on the beach!

The penthouse comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The penthouse has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the penthouse cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The penthouse has television and home cinema with dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The penthouse is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a east facing patio area, a north facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The penthouse is right beside a beach, swimming, walking, cycling, tennis.

Close to the penthouse you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, horse riding, golf, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the penthouse you will find scuba diving, historic sites.

A visit to the Alcazabar, the moorish castle in Almeria is recommended

Vinnie says: "The apartment was so perfect for us, with the amazing balconies, to the cleanliness, to how well it was equipped (kitchen, beds, towels, even beach gear! Even the complimentary bottle of wine - a nice touch!). All that we needed to bring with us was our clothes and summer spirits! The underground safe parking was a great plus. The town was amazing - we quite enjoyed the walks on the beach to the many nice beach bars as well as the marina with its infinite list of fine dining and attractions at night (we even caught up on our salsa dancing!). We tried all of your recommendations for food, and we have to say that we adored the seafood at "Restaurante Nautico". The local bars/clubs were great and was a great plus to always feel safe in that town regardless if it was day or night. This property is highly recommended, it will exceed your expectations and it is a great value for the money. The booking process was flawless, as was the coordination with the groundskeeper and landlord for keys/parking/payment/etc. The landlord even has a guide of things to do in almerimar and almeria - greatly useful if you are not familiar with the area."
