These cottages (casitas) were creatively renovated by their architect owner from ancient Andaluz farm buildings, making them both spacious and practical. Away from the main house, each of the casitas is quiet and private, but also close enough to be perfect for groups and large family holidays. Rent any one or in any combination of the three cottages (see separate entries for La Concha and Las Palomas).

Set amidst olive, orange and lemon groves, they each have their own individual character. You can walk from your door through the surrounding trees and beyond to the river Guadalfeo.

With private, sheltered patios and acres of olive terraces, the casitas provide a safe environment for children. There is no traffic except for visitor’s cars. Cars are parked under a shade roof. 

The cottage has a living/dining room with log stove, terracotta floors, rugs. TV, DVD, CD player, and lots of books. There is a charming double-bedded bedroom with fitted wardrobe and antique furniture. The second bedroom has twin beds with fitted wardrobe. The kitchen is well-equipped with adjacent dining table, double sink, fridge, microwave, gas hob andcooker. There is a bathroom with bath/shower, basin and W C and a second wash room with basin, W C and bidet.
 

There is access to an extensive terrace with a barbecue, and also a tiny flower-filled inner patio The large terrace overlooks the olive and lemon groves and beyond to the mountains. The pretty swimming pool is set against the hillside amongst scented white oleanders. Share it on summer evenings with skimming swallows, or in May, gaze up at a snowy peak whilst you swim. You can picnic in the shade of an olive tree, or just lie in the sun and read a book from the well-stocked bookshelves.  

Azahar is one of three cottages which can be rented independently or in any combination. Each is completely quiet and private, but they are close enough to make them perfect for large families or groups (sleeping up to ten people). The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has television. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside swimming, walking, cycling.

Close to the cottage you will find climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, a sports center, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, skiing/snowboarding, golf, tennis, scuba diving, a museum, a themepark, a food shop.

joanna says: "Words cannot adequately capture what an amazing stay we had at this lovely casita. I was drawn by the pictures initally and so delighted how perfect our 5 days were. The views are stunning, the architecture of the buildings diverse and the various places to chill out on the terrace ideal as shade could be found whenever you needed it under the beautiful fig and almond trees. The surrounding mountains changed colour depending on the time of day and the noise of the chicken during the morning and evening along with the crickets added to its charm. The 24 hour internet facility and the laundry room were an added bonus, the pool just perfect to cool off in! I would highly recommend staying here, we took a step out of very busy lives and came back grounded and energised. We will book again next year bringing our family to fill up all 3 casitas!"
