We believe our villa to be a rare amalgam of the unique qualities of the ancient trullo and masseria styles typical of this part of Puglia with the luxury of sophisticated modern living. The trulli are built in dry-stone construction, the roof being built up of decreasing concentric rings of limestone slabs. Having fallen under Puglia's spell we were fortunate to be introduced
to a husband and wife architect designer team who undertake very small numbers of projects such as the rebuilding and renovation of Villa Santoro.

 

This part of Puglia is also known as Trulliland. It is protected, as are the trulli due to their quite unique looks and construction. There is a fantastical quality to groups of sometimes whitewashed conical houses dotting the rolling valleys with their olive groves and vineyards. This is a region of Italy quite unlike any portrayed in the usual tourist guides. It is as yet unspoiled by tourism, combining a slice of real Italy with beautiful countryside and superb beaches, mostly within easy reach.
 

There are a myriad things to do and see in Puglia. Beautiful hilltop towns exhibiting all kinds of architectural flair; Greek, Norman, Romanesque and flamboyant Baroque. Superb wines abound from the whites of Locorotondo to the strong reds of the Salentine peninsula. Open air weekly markets in all towns offer huge varieties of superb local grown fresh produce. The restaurants to be found in all the nearby towns range from the friendly family trattoria to the more sophisticated, all exceptionally good value. Cycling, rambling, horse riding, watersports of all sorts are just a few of the endless activities available. Extra services like Ayurvedic massage and an in house chef are available by request. This part of Puglia and Villa Santoro in particular also offer the perfect opportunity to get away from it all and relax in wonderful surroundings, which include the superb natural style pool.

The villa comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Living room. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is on a number of levels and it is impossible to classify people's ability to cope on the basis of pigeon holed "disability". It depends entirely upon the type of disability as to whether the property is likely to be suitable. A quick email to the owner will answer any questions regarding this matter. 

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private west facing swimming pool, a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside walking, cycling, mountain biking.

Close to the villa you will find horse riding, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, a sports center, a museum, a theatre/cinema.
