MATTINATA, is a nice small town, crowned by a mountains range. It soars like a butterfly over two hills. The town, with a round shape, stretches towards the sea in a charming and large plain rich in varied vegetation. The beach of Mattinata is typical with its round and polychrome shingles. The coast is very beautiful: rocky tableland askew drops from the cliff to the sea sea-caves, among these the “bell cave”, that is called the Pantheon of Gargano, and the striking Zagare bay, well-known for its stacks. On the top of the mountain Monte Saraceno, km far from the town centre, the excavations have brought to light a necropolis of more than 400 tombs, dated back to the VII – VI cent. B.C.. The tomb equipments are kept in the Town Museum of Mattinata. The archaeological and ethnographic collection of the “chemist” Dr. Matteo Sansone is also to visit. In the chemist’s shop are kept more than 4000 ?nds of the history of Gargano. On the top of the Sacro Mountain, the ruins of the Benedictine abbey of the Holy Trinity are also to visit. 

 

This cosy, panoramic town cottage in front of the sea is fully equipped and furnished at high standards and consists of one spacious living room, delicious kitchenette, fireplace, mezzanine with double bed, lovely bathroom with hydromassage shower and a very comfortable storage. Under the mezzanine there is a sofa bed (convertible into 2 single beds or one double). Air conditioning, washing machine, barbecue, pergola for "al fresco" dining, large tiled table. It would be perfect for a couple but can host up to 4 people. The garden is opposite the house, on the other side of the street, in a quiet area although it’s in the heart of the town, at stone throw from shops and restaurants, and close to a very romantic smal restaurant/pizzeria in a garden.

The cottage comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double. The property also has 2 single sofa beds. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the cottage cool.

The cottage has television satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this cottage.

Close to the cottage you will find sailing, boat hire, tennis.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find horse riding, scuba diving.
