Torre del Guado Country House is an impressive stone manor house located in Tuscany and placed amidst the countryside between the medieval towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro, close to Arezzo–Cortona, and within easy driving distance of Florence and Siena and other cities of art.

This historical Villa, with outstanding views on the enchanting Tuscan scenery, what inspired great painters as Piero della Francesca, Raffaello, Leonardo, Signorelli, … dates back to the 13th century and, recently by new owners, has been carefully restored and transformed into a warm and elegant Country holiday Guest House, where all the modern conveniences, including Wireless Internet connection, have been added to many of original preserved features. The accommodation is divided into 2 beautifully restored spacious reception rooms and 5 lovely self-catering apartments, of different sizes and typology, with excellent facilities.


The charming Guest House is sat in large and beautifully maintained gardens (20.000 mq), where the guests may stroll through vast green areas and enjoy a spectacular view on the landscape and the tuscan hills. In the centre there is the large and ecological equipped swimming pool, (m 15x8) with solarium, for guests use only.
The gardens provide, also, plenty of garden furniture: 3 gazebos, sun-beds, tables, chairs, sunshade (Every unit has its own outside sitting area) and a playing and barbecue area.

LOCATION
The location of the holiday home, at 3 sqm from Sansepolcro and 29 sqm from Arezzo, not far from Siena, on the edge of the Chianti wine region and of Umbria, is a perfect base for visiting Rome and many cities of art of Tuscany (Siena, Florence, Arezzo, Cortona etc.) and Umbria (Assisi, Gubbio, Perugia...). They all are easily accessible through the nearby E45 speedway, situated only 3 kms from the villa, and A1 highway 34 kms far.

Outside
The setting is delightfully tranquil, surrounded by meadows, with excellent views of the the Appenines mountains and Tall Valley of the Tiber.
From our very large private garden (20000 sqm) around the villa there is a spectacular view on the Alta Valle del Tevere and Appenines mountains. Set in beautifully maintained gardens there are the large and ecological swimming pool with sunbeds, (15x7 metres), 3 covered gazebos, private places with tables, chairs and sunshade for every apartment, an open barbecue with table where you can enjoy a barbecue or drinks outdoors.

Nearby Amenities
For art-lovers, in this area there are Signorelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio frescos in addition to the Piero della Francesca trail around Arezzo, Sansepolcro & Monterchi. There are a number of music festivals in the region, including Umbria Jazz in Perugia in July. Lakes Trasimeno and Montedoglio provide water-sports, trips to islands & a small beach.
For history-lovers there is interest everywhere, with Etruscan tombs, Roman remains and medieval city-centres.
If you are shopping-lovers this area is fantastic for Antiquarys objects and for "haute couture there is, nearby, a great, exclusive shopping centre called” The Mall”, home to the factory outlets of Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Yves Saint Laurent, and other top designer labels. Not far away there is a similar Prada outlet.

Torre del Guado is easily accessible from Rome, Florence, Forlì and Perugia airports.
Fly direct to Bologna-Forli via Ryanair, or to Florence , or to Ancona via Ryanair (2 hours drive), or to Bologna, Pisa or Rome . For Perugia, our nearest airport (45 minutes drive), flights from UK currently change at Milan.
By Car:
from Milan-Bologna: A14 Freeway to Cesena: exit Cesena nord, Follow E45 Superhighway to Rome-Perugia- exit Sansepolcro sud.

Sleeps 4 – 6: 4 are the guests accommodated in beds. The sofa/divan, present in the apartment, can be transformed into a second double bed.

Sansepolcro was an attractive old walled town with a good stock of restaurants and shops. The whole place was ideal if you just want to get away from everything but even the teenagers enjoyed it."
