Koh Naka Retreat is an exclusive private villa hideaway located on the small tropical island of Koh Naka Yai, just off the east coast of Phuket, surrounded by the world class scenery and breathtaking views of Phang Nga Bay. With blue waters and 5 secluded sandy beaches to choose from, Koh Naka Retreat provides a beautiful romantic ‘Castaway’ environment for holidaymakers and honeymooners looking for an isolated yet accessible location to unwind and escape the pace of modern life. Besides infrequent day trippers and passing yachts dropping anchor for lunch, the only other inhabitants are a few local Thais living in a small village on the other side of the island. A short boat ride away is the smaller Koh Naka Noi island where a working pearl farm can be explored.  

Arriving at Koh Naka Retreat, set in elevated grounds above the northeast shore line, a private jetty leads to the infinity edge swimming pool which enjoys stunning views of Phang Nga Bay. From the pool a broad stairway flanked on either side by guardian Naka, leads upwards through the tropical garden to a teak shingle roofed Sala constructed over a bubbling watercourse which introduces the entrance to the main residence. Here a traditional terra cotta relief depicts the Naka at the birth of the universe. The interior of the house is essentially oriental in character with adjustments to accommodate western style living. Here there is no lack of creature comforts - a combination of western "necessities" complimented by the splendour and design of the Orient. A curved marble staircase leads to the main living room of the house where teak panelled walls and cool marble flooring opens onto a spacious wooden deck. This al fresco living and dining area affords panoramic views of the tropical garden and the island studded seascape beyond. The elevated aspect of the house and the open tropical design style allow the property to breath with natural air currents and sea breezes contributing to a sense of relaxation and spaciousness. Air-conditioning is only provided in the more enclosed areas of the property. At the rear of the living room area, one wing opens to an opulent mirrored dining room serviced by two kitchens, one western Mediterranean in style and one Thai style. The opposite wing is where the games room can be found, furnished with Chinese antiques and a full sized snooker table. One floor up the master bedroom with en-suite bathroom has an emperor size bed and is of cathedral like proportions with exposed wooden beams and romantic lighting controllable according to the mood of the occupants. Stunning views take in the limestone karsks of Phang Nga Bay including the now famous "James Bond" island. The master bedroom area is provided with fan cooling only, as in its elevated position natural cool airflows eliminate the need for air-conditioning. The smaller second bedroom with en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning is next door, facing southwest views of the island landscape can be enjoyed. The top floor is home to the third bedroom, also with en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and views out across the island. Two further en-suite bedrooms furnished to the same high standards are available. 

Phuket is not only Thailand's largest island but is also widely known as the Pearl of the Andaman Sea. This southern province is famous for many fascinating tourist attractions, including Phromthep Cape on the southwest coast which is the country's most famous spot to watch spectacular sunsets, beautiful white sandy beaches, the stunning scenery of Phang Nga Bay,old temples like Wat Chalong, the extraordinary "vegetarian season" as well as local dishes which make Phuket a heaven on earth. 

Full meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner are now included in every booking.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 3 double and 1 cots, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 4 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. The villa has a sauna.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls. Recreational activities available with the villa include a snooker/pool table.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

Andrew says: "The Retreat is exaactly what it is, Myself and my new wife thought we were part of the TV show castaways, well except you will be living in luxury! I would recomend this villa to anyone wishing to get away from it all, but retaining the oppertunity to go out and have some fun. The masterbedroom is ubelievable and the view is spectacular especially when the sun come up in the morning The staff were fantastic especially Del (i think thats how you spell it) and looked after our every wim including purchasing a hairdryer for my wife to use and stocking the fridge with jack daniels for me. The food is fantastic and a mixture of western and thai, sea food lovers out there will love it. Highly recomend the thai massage it was worth every penny and made me feel like a million bucks, impressed a lot of my friends telling them we had a masseuse onsite for a few days The only problems with this property was that after two weeks of being pampered and spoilt i really did not want to come home and go back to work and especially miss having such wonderfull food prepared for me 3 times a day, Lastly and i cant believe i nearly forgot this the Bananna pancakes for breakfast are awsome and coming from someone who does not eat breakfast i made sure i was up early for this speacial treat every day!!! No More to say - Just go and visit for yourself - you will not be dissapointed "
